The OKC Thunder fell to Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, and the new-age bad boy Detroit Pistons, 124-116. In fact, this was the third straight 20 point game from the third year guard out of the University of Kentucky. Missing the reigning 2025 Kia NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA), All-NBA Jalen Williams (JDub), Defensive Player of the Year candidate and 2026 NBA All-Star Chet Holmgren, Ajay Mitchell, the red-hot Isaiah Joe, and more, it was assumed that OKC's offense would struggle to put points on the board. But over these last few games, with both key (and the majority of) OKC players out, the 10th overall pick in the lottery of the 2023 NBA Draft has shown glimpses of greatness. As OKC Thunder faithful, we knew this young gem was already among the best at locking down the perimeter. But Cason Wallace is showing growth and consistency in three point shooting, scoring off the dribble, and playmaking for others...something that has been a large struggle as of late for Lu Dort. The longest tenured Thunder, fans are familiar with the Canadian Dort's streakiness, especially from behind the arc.
