• God is on the throne
    2025/08/21
God’s people, I’m sure, are disturbed, they’re desperately reaching out because of the things that are happening. The Lord Himself said, “Men’s hearts will be failing them … when they see those things coming on the earth….” Well, we’re at that stage for sure. But, my friend, let’s understand that God is still running the thing. He’s still in charge. It hasn’t slipped out from His hands. God is not biting His fingernails, and He hasn’t slipped to the edge of His throne. He’s not nervous today about what’s happening. God is carrying out His plan and purpose, and He’s overruling the sin of man. That makes it very comforting, by the way, should be to the child of God today.

  • He won’t change
    2025/08/20
“It fortifies my soul to know that, though I perish, Truth is so: That, howsoe’er I stray and range, whate’er I do, Thou dost not change. I steadier step when I recall that, if I slip, Thou dost not fall (Arthur Hugh Clough).” I have a God today I can depend on. He can’t depend on me, but I can depend on Him. He’ll never change. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever.

  • It’s all for His glory
    2025/08/19
The supreme object of everything that exists, it’s for the glory of God. What is the chief end of man? The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. Why do you exist? You do not exist for yourself. You do not exist to satisfy your selfish needs. You do not exist to accumulate something in this world. You exist for God. He created you for Himself. And that’s the chief end of man, and you and I fail in life when our life is not for Him. The supreme object of everything is for His glory.

  • God speaks through Jesus
    2025/08/18
You cannot know God today apart from Jesus Christ. And you cannot know anything about Him. That’s the reason He came 1900 years ago—not primarily really to redeem man. He came first to reveal God. He spent 33 years in doing that. He spent only 6 hours on a cross to redeem the world. It took 33 years to get over to man who God was. If you’re to know God, you’ll have to go to Him today. You see, nobody ever discovered God. God is revealed. And you have to come to His revelation and let Him speak to you there, and He only speaks through the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • How big is God?
    2025/08/15
Friends, whatever God does, He does it to an infinite degree—or may I use the common colloquialism of the day. “Whatever God does, He does it in a big way.” When He loves, He loves to an infinite degree. When God brings wisdom to bear, it is infinite wisdom. And space does not have any limits as far as we know. In other words, space as man knows it today, there are no limits that are known. But God has no limits, known or unknown. He is infinite. He’s above His creation. It is impossible for a finite creature to know God because of the fact God is infinite.

  • It’s a decision
    2025/08/14
“This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” You won’t see God. And you won’t know much about Him. Paul at the end of his life could say, “That I might know Him, and the power of His resurrection.” But you can know Him today as the One died on the cross for your sin. You can know Him as your Savior. You have been given enough information about God that you can make a decision and an intelligent decision. You can know Him as Savior. You have to make the decision.

  • He is coming to you
    2025/08/13
Those that were His own were down on the Sea of Galilea, and a storm broke that night and there in the place of peril. And then Mark records this, “He saw them toiling in rowing.” May I say to you the darkness did not shut them out from His eyes. My friend, are you on a storm-tossed sea? Is it rough? The waves breaking? You feel pretty much alone. May I say He sees you today. The very interesting thing is that the record says that He not only saw them, but “He came to them.” May I say that He not only sees you, He wants to be very close to you at a time like this.

  • He is remarkable
    2025/08/12
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” That’s love. I don’t know whether you could find very many that would die for you. I don’t think I could find very many. I know of a few that would like to kill me, but none of them would die for me. May I say to you this morning, friends, He loved you when you were a sinner, hating Him as Saul hated Him at the cross. He loved you and died for you. The compassion of this One, may I say, is remarkable.
