  • AFTERMATH: A Legacy that Lasts (Mother's Day 2025) | Carey Thomas
    2025/05/11

[2 Timothy 1:5] I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.

The POWER of the Jesus's resurrection didn't stop at the TOMB.

[2 Timothy 3:15] You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

Legacy doesn’t just HAPPEN, it’s built INTENTIONALLY over time.

[Acts 16:1] Paul went first to Derbe and then to Lystra, where there was a young disciple named Timothy. His mother was a Jewish believer, but his father was a Greek.

God specializes in turning DISADVANTAGES into ADVANTAGES.

You don’t need PERFECT conditions to plant eternal SEEDS.

[Galatians 6:9] So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up.

All of us can INVEST in the faith of others.

[1Corinthians 3:6-8] I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. [7] It's not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow. [8] The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.

We are all called to PLANT seeds of faith, but God is in charge of making them GROW.

[2 Timothy 2:1-2] Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. [2] You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

The easiest way to leave a faith legacy is simply to LIVE your faith well.

[1 Timothy 4:12] Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

His faithful promises are your armor and protection. [5] Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. [Mark 16:7] Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died."

Jesus came for the ____________, not the _____________.

[John 21:3] Simon Peter said, "I'm going fishing." "We'll come, too," they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night.

Jesus always meets us in our _________________.

[John 21:4-9] At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn't see who he was. [5] He called out, "Fellows, have you caught any fish?" "No," they replied. [6] Then he said, "Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you'll get some!" So they did, and they couldn't haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. [7] Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, "It's the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed to shore. [8] The others stayed with the boat and pulled the loaded net to the shore, for they were only about a hundred yards from shore. [9] When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them--fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread.

Your ______________ is not based on your ____________________.

[John 18:18] Because it was cold, the household servants and the guards had made a charcoal fire. They stood around it, warming themselves, and Peter stood with them, warming himself.

    Your ______________ is not ______________.

[John 21:15-17] After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," Peter replied, "you know I love you." "Then feed my lambs," Jesus told him. [16] Jesus repeated the question: "Simon son of John, do you love me?" "Yes, Lord," Peter said, "you know I love you." "Then take care of my sheep," Jesus said. [17] A third time he asked him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you." Jesus said, "Then feed my sheep.

  • Dream On - Livin' the Dream (October 28, 2017) | Judah Thomas
    2025/05/02

[Proverbs 13:19] It is pleasant to see dreams come true, It takes ___________ to get to the dream, but even more work to _____________ the dream. God will never interrupt your life to give you an __________ _________. [Matthew 10:38-39] If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. [39] If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. God's dream is a call to ________________ and __________________. Living the dream will require _________________. [Proverbs 22:4] True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life. [Genesis 45:3-8] “I am Joseph!” he said to his brothers. “Is my father still alive?” But his brothers were speechless! They were stunned to realize that Joseph was standing there in front of them. [4] “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer. And he said again, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. [5] But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives. [6] This famine that has ravaged the land for two years will last five more years, and there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. [7] God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors. [8] So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt. God requires _______________ to live the dream. [Numbers 20:7-12] and the Lord said to Moses, [8] “You and Aaron must take the staff and assemble the entire community. As the people watch, speak to the rock over there, and it will pour out its water. You will provide enough water from the rock to satisfy the whole community and their livestock.” [9] So Moses did as he was told. He took the staff from the place where it was kept before the Lord. [10] Then he and Aaron summoned the people to come and gather at the rock. “Listen, you rebels!” he shouted. “Must we bring you water from this rock?” [11] Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with the staff, and water gushed out. So the entire community and their livestock drank their fill. [12] But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust me enough to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel, you will not lead them into the land I am giving them!” A lack of _____________ can sabotage your dreams. Are you ready to _____________ God's dream for your life?

  • AFTERMATH: Road of Disappointment | Judah Thomas
    2025/04/27

[Luke 24:13-14] That same day two of Jesus' followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles from Jerusalem. [14] As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened.

God comes and _______________ us when we’re headed the _______________ way.

Don't walk away from the _____________________.

[Luke 24:15-16] As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them. [16] But God kept them from recognizing him.

God is with us in the _______________.

[Luke 24:17-21] He asked them, "What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?" They stopped short, sadness written across their faces. [18] Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, "You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn't heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days." [19] "What things?" Jesus asked. "The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth," they said. "He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people. [20] But our leading priests and other religious leaders handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him. [21] We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago.

The resurrection doesn’t let you go back to _______________.

Sometimes God doesn’t interrupt your _______________, He _______________ through it with you.

[Luke 24:25-27] Then Jesus said to them, "You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. [26] Wasn't it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?" [27] Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Jesus always waits for an ____________________.

[Luke 24:30-31] As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them. [31] Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared! [32] They said to each other, "Didn't our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?" [33] And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem. There they found the eleven disciples and the others who had gathered with them, [34] who said, "The Lord has really risen! He appeared to Peter."

Even if you do not _______________ Him, Jesus is already _______________ with you.

    2025/04/25

Dreams that come from God will be supernaturally ____________________. [1 Corinthians 15:36b] When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first. [Genesis 41:14-16] Pharaoh sent for Joseph at once, and he was quickly brought from the prison. After he shaved and changed his clothes, he went in and stood before Pharaoh. [15] Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.” [16] “It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied. “But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.” God wants to teach us ____________________ before He fulfills the dream. [Luke 14:11 CSB] 11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” God is shaping us through the ___________ ____________. [Genesis 41:37-40] Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his officials. [38] So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?” [39] Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are. [40] You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours.” In order to show His power, God brings ____________ from ________________. [Habakkuk 2:3] This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Keep your eyes on __________ not on the ___________. [Isaiah 40:31 ESV] but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. God puts the dream in our ____________, but then He wants us to put it back in His. [John 11:25] Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. • From Overdose to Resurrection: The Story of Johnny V
    2025/04/20

John Vaina—known to many as Johnny V—shares his raw and powerful testimony of transformation from addiction, despair, and near death… to redemption through Jesus Christ.

At 17, Johnny was lost in a world of violence and drugs, believing God wasn’t real. But after a four-day bender, his body shut down—what followed was an experience he calls his death moment, not just near-death. In the black void, a speck of light approached, and everything changed.

This is not a polished church story. It’s real. It’s hard. And it’s full of grace.

  • Dream On: The Pit and the Prison (October 15, 2017) | Judah Thomas
    2025/04/18

Every dream from God will _______ before it is ______________. [Exodus 2:15] And sure enough, Pharaoh heard what had happened, and he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in the land of Midian. When Moses arrived in Midian, he sat down beside a well. The dream gives us the _______________ to go through the _______________. [Genesis 37:18-20] When Joseph’s brothers saw him coming, they recognized him in the distance. As he approached, they made plans to kill him. [19] “Here comes the dreamer!” they said. [20] “Come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns. We can tell our father, ‘A wild animal has eaten him.’ Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!” [Genesis 37:26-28] Judah said to his brothers, “What will we gain by killing our brother? We’d have to cover up the crime. [27] Instead of hurting him, let’s sell him to those Ishmaelite traders. After all, he is our brother—our own flesh and blood!” And his brothers agreed. [28] So when the Ishmaelites, who were Midianite traders, came by, Joseph’s brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for twenty pieces of silver. And the traders took him to Egypt. Sometimes the __________________ in your life will be in direct conflict with your dream. What Joseph thought was _______________ became his _______________ to Egypt. [Genesis 39:2; 6-12] The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. [6] So Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he owned. With Joseph there, he didn’t worry about a thing—except what kind of food to eat! Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man, [7] and Potiphar’s wife soon began to look at him lustfully. “Come and sleep with me,” she demanded. [8] But Joseph refused. “Look,” he told her, “my master trusts me with everything in his entire household. [9] No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.” [10] She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible. [11] One day, however, no one else was around when he went in to do his work. [12] She came and grabbed him by his cloak, demanding, “Come on, sleep with me!” Joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house. Joseph had dreams of a _______________ but first had to go through the ________ and the ____________. Don't _______________ the dream when it dies. [Galatians 6:9] So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. When life is in the _______ see what you can _________ ______.
