  • AFTERMATH: A Legacy that Lasts (Mother's Day 2025) | Carey Thomas
    2025/05/11

[2 Timothy 1:5] I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.

The POWER of the Jesus's resurrection didn't stop at the TOMB.

[2 Timothy 3:15] You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

Legacy doesn’t just HAPPEN, it’s built INTENTIONALLY over time.

[Acts 16:1] Paul went first to Derbe and then to Lystra, where there was a young disciple named Timothy. His mother was a Jewish believer, but his father was a Greek.

God specializes in turning DISADVANTAGES into ADVANTAGES.

You don’t need PERFECT conditions to plant eternal SEEDS.

[Galatians 6:9] So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up.

All of us can INVEST in the faith of others.

[1Corinthians 3:6-8] I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. [7] It's not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow. [8] The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.

We are all called to PLANT seeds of faith, but God is in charge of making them GROW.

[2 Timothy 2:1-2] Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. [2] You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

The easiest way to leave a faith legacy is simply to LIVE your faith well.

[1 Timothy 4:12] Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

  • MIND GAMES: Trapped by Fear (November 5, 2017) | Judah Thomas
    2025/05/09

Mind game: a psychological tactic used to ___________ or _______________. The devil will control your mind through ___________. Fear will destroy your ___________. [Proverbs 29:25 GW] A person’s fear sets a trap for him, but one who trusts the Lord is safe. Fear brings ____________. [2 Timothy 1:7] For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Two things that our fears reveal 1. Your fears reveal what you _________ the most. 2. Your fears reveal where you trust God the ______________. I'm not trusting God with ________ [Psalm 91:2-7] This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. [3] For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. [4] He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. [5] Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. [6] Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. [7] Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. [Psalm 27:1-3] The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? We don't need to let fear ______________, govern & ___________ our lives. [Psalm 56:3-4] But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. The devil wants you in bondage to __________, but God wants to set you __________! You don't have to live in fear when you know the one who ______________ fear.

  • AFTERMATH: Breakfast on the Beach | Judah Thomas
    2025/05/04

    God's ______________ can ______________ anyone.

[Mark 16:7] Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died."

Jesus came for the ____________, not the _____________.

[John 21:3] Simon Peter said, "I'm going fishing." "We'll come, too," they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night.

Jesus always meets us in our _________________.

[John 21:4-9] At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn't see who he was. [5] He called out, "Fellows, have you caught any fish?" "No," they replied. [6] Then he said, "Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you'll get some!" So they did, and they couldn't haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. [7] Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, "It's the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed to shore. [8] The others stayed with the boat and pulled the loaded net to the shore, for they were only about a hundred yards from shore. [9] When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them--fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread.

Your ______________ is not based on your ____________________.

[John 18:18] Because it was cold, the household servants and the guards had made a charcoal fire. They stood around it, warming themselves, and Peter stood with them, warming himself.

    Your ______________ is not ______________.

[John 21:15-17] After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," Peter replied, "you know I love you." "Then feed my lambs," Jesus told him. [16] Jesus repeated the question: "Simon son of John, do you love me?" "Yes, Lord," Peter said, "you know I love you." "Then take care of my sheep," Jesus said. [17] A third time he asked him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you." Jesus said, "Then feed my sheep.

Jesus is still inviting us to ______________ Him.
