Introduction to:- TWOW (Three walkers one wall) https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/three-walkers-one-wall--6869252 This June, my brother Pablo, our old school mate Bill, and Tony are walking coast to coast from Carlisle to Newcastle, following Hadrian’s Wall the old-fashioned way — no support crew, no shortcuts, just long days on foot and a warm bed at night. they'll head east through farmland, wild ridges, and Roman stone, carrying only what they need and stopping when the legs (or Bill’s knees) say so. Each evening, hopefully they will be recording a short audio postcard: a few minutes of reflections, small moments, tired laughter, and whatever the day leaves behind. No polish, just boots-on-the-ground field notes — weather, pub tables, ancient walls, and three friends settling back into the rhythm of walking, all the way to the North Sea. While his own project is called Three Walkers, One Wall, he noted that information would be shared through the Roman Ramblers network. I hope that the other participants cooperate with the project. The update served as an introduction to the group’s upcoming audio collaboration.

Your upcoming journey along Hadrian’s Wall is no small feat, and the excitement must be building with every passing day. I’ll admit, I’m a little envious—I’d love to be out there with you—but between life’s logistics, garden duties, and a roof soon to be crowned with solar panels, I’ll be cheering from afar.

    Think of this as a light jog of encouragement, a prelude to the main event. You’ve got the miles ahead, the history underfoot, and no doubt a few laughs waiting along the way. I’ll be following your progress closely, hoping for clear skies, smooth bookings, and strong legs throughout.

    This little interlude is just me, Carlos—the running jackal—egging you on from the trails of Mount Douglas Park. Pablo’s brother, Bill’s mate, your unofficial hype man.
