All marriages are designed to produce wine. Wine is the fruitful production of the life of Christ operating in and through a marriage. In John 2 when Jesus was at the wedding in Cana the couple had run out of wine. If it wasn't for Jesus intervening the festivities that were planned would have been ruined. As a godly couple if Christ is absent in your union your wine production will not be sustainable. In fact, it will sure run out, for every marriage at the beginning sets out to produce good wine. Without Christ as the third fold cord, you will not produce much for God. Wine is the only thing that a correct marriage is able to share with others. As couples our marriages may be the only encounter of Christ that is physically seen. If we are without wine, then surely our union is progressing the agenda of darkness instead of light. Christ in us, the hope of glory is the biggest mystery that we as believers have yet to come into a full knowledge or understanding of. How can this "Christ" in us help us in our marriages and with our homes? It is this mystery that believers are stewards and ambassadors of. If we have this mystery, then it should be showing in how our families are built and how our marriages are formed. It is this mystery of the new creation life that every aspect of our life as an individual and as a couple is founded upon. If we cannot have this mystery revealed to us and in us, then we are being unfruitful vessels. It's in understanding of this mystery that as we continue to grow and mature, the Lord will begin to bring fruitfulness of from our marriages and family.

As we continue out study on what is required to build a goldy household we cannot forget to mention the importance of building. It is the man that is supposed to build and establish the foundation of the family though his relationship with God. If the house doesn't start with the man building it, then it is built in vain. The bible calls this man foolish. A man is labeled foolish not by his intelligence, profession, or bank account, but because of how he builds. If a man is building his house on sand instead of the solid rock of Christ him and his family are susceptible to a great fall. We can see this in our world today as houses collapse in divorce, children are ungodly, or there's division in the home. All because the man chose to build on sand. Take heed to how you build!

Who is building your house? Is it you or God? God is to be the builder of every house in order for it to be a godly home. No house can truly be called a home except it has a lamb (Christ). This is how God's blessing comes upon all those in the house. For the curse of the Lord is upon the household of the wicked. This verse in Proverbs 3:33 is a warning to every house that is absent of the lamb. A lamb-less house will have the curse of the Lord upon it. This week we are coming back to the devil's biggest target of God's children: the home. When the home is divided, ungodly, and independently out of God's will it is easier for the enemy to bring destruction to the family and the land. Deception comes from an unestablished home, a home with no lamb. The basic need of every household is to have a lamb. The 'lamb' is what brings protection, guidance and ultimately victory for every member of the family. If you look at our world today it is a result of divided and broken families that never started with a lamb. This 'lamb' isn't church or religion but Christ Jesus himself as the center and core of every member of the family. The man receiving direction, the woman being a help, and the children growing in their understanding of Christ. This is how we as children of God can reestablish and recover what God wants to do in this time. It starts with a lamb.

After putting off the old man we come into the new man! In order to do this we must put on the new man. Christianity does not start until we put on the 'new'. The new creation man is renewed in every aspect of living. This included logic, understanding, grace, and knowledge. In order to make these aspects new we must sit and learn from the Lord himself, hearing from Him! For this week's Remnant Challenge let's choose one aspect of our lives that we want to be renewed. Coming into the new life requires taking off more than just our sins. It requires us taking off the producer of our sins: the old man. The old man is the inherit nature that every person is born with. This nature is the primary producer of a life opposite of God. So, if we are all born with this nature then in order to enter into a relationship with God or to become righteous, we have to put off this nature. This is what being 'born-again' means. To be born again is about taking off an old way of living, a life that habitually sinned, and putting on the new life, the life of Christ.
