  • Limitlessness & Limitation with Ambient Music
    2026/08/27

Philip Carr-Gomm shares a fresh thought from his work on the eightfold wheel of the year: humanity’s destruction of the Earth may arise from unconscious motives, tied to confusion between spiritual limitlessness (Awen, inspiration, love) and physical limitation (boundaries, lifespan). He explores discernment between these levels, the mutual need of force and form, and how limitations—illness, tiredness, reminders of mortality—can ground us and shape us through mistakes and our reactions to them. Emphasizing compassion and awareness of judgment, he leads a meditation in the sacred grove, attuning to the Earth’s richness and heartbeat, blessing the planet and all species, and closing with solidarity and connection in the circle. • Reclaiming Your Roots: Druidry, Ancestral Traditions, and Rewilding the Soul
    2026/08/04

Philip Carr-Gomm, a lifelong practitioner of Druidry who met the old chief druid at age 11, reflects on the human tendency to seek the exotic and leave the present moment, and argues for reconnecting with the ancestral traditions of the British Isles through both study and direct openness to the land. He describes accessing spiritual, intellectual nourishment by dropping beneath analytical judgment so traditions become living rather than merely historical. He cautions against elevating “elders” as superior, preferring a relational model akin to mentoring. Linking ecological rewilding to inner transformation, he says Druidry unites nature connection with the Bardic arts to “rewild” hearts and souls. He notes Druidry’s modern accessibility via druidry.org, online training in six languages, and books and oracles, and describes ripple effects of personal change into family life and environmental action, while addressing Christian cultural trauma and the healing role of indigenous traditions. • Audio - Solstice Stillness: Mist, Memory, and a Dawn Meditation
    2026/06/19

Audio version - for Ambient background find the companion episode "Audio with Music / Solstice Stillness: Mist, Memory, and a Dawn Meditation" https://ThisMagicalLife.podbean.com/e/am-solstice-stillness Philip reflects on the solstice as a pause in the yearly cycle, noting the shared “sun standing still” meaning of solstice and describing a shift of energy: from winter to summer as increasing focus and growth, and from summer to winter as dispersion, generosity, and letting go. On a cold, rainy day with coastal mist, they consider embracing uncertainty and liminality, linking mist to Celtic imagery and the unconscious. Philip reads Pablo Neruda’s poem “Births,” exploring how we record details of life yet retain little memory of birth or death. A guided meditation follows for a global group, imagining gathering before dawn on Glastonbury Tor in a sea of mist, breathing with gentle pauses, receiving sunlight into the heart, offering blessings for peace and protection of nature, and concluding with advice on breath pauses and a solstice greeting for Alban Hefin.
