The New York Knicks face a pivotal question: Could Mohamed Diawara be the team’s most intriguing X-factor next season? Gavin Schall and Geoff Rasmussen break down Diawara’s promising rookie campaign, debating his offensive upside as a 6’9” wing with a 7’4” wingspan and surprising 3-point touch. With flashes of high-IQ passing and the ability to punish defenses from the corner, Diawara’s role in Mike Brown’s rotation—and how he slots behind OG Anunoby and Josh Hart—could reshape the Knicks’ second unit.

Key topics include Diawara’s development as a finisher at the rim, questions about his defensive versatility, and whether he can carve out a playoff rotation spot alongside stars like Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Mikal Bridges. Can his rare physical profile and evolving skillset help New York stay atop the Eastern Conference? Don’t miss this deep dive into the Knicks’ future.
