- The boathouse had a spare key hanging inside the office; the primary lock showed no forced entry and the spare key was discovered missing.
- Raymond Carter, a subcontracted marine technician who had been inside the boathouse on January 11, appears in the work log initialed by Philip and had opportunity to access keys.
- A traffic camera at 4:50 a.m. captured a partial plate and a dark blue pickup with a cracked reflector matching Carter's truck near the eastern equipment dock on the morning Philip vanished.
