I have come to realise that the most powerful process we can embrace as leaders is being intentional. This is what informed my intuitive practice from the very early stages. I wanted my intuition to be inspiring, uplifting and practical. This podcast is going to challenge you, as a leader, to be more intentional and to have a vision. Leadership does not derive from a title or a position in society. It naturally follows someone's energy, intention and morals. I have a soft spot for leaders who are humble and who may not even consider themselves as leaders. They just want to serve. Perhaps they see a missed opportunity or something that needs to be done and they step in. Often times, they don't even care if they are seen as leaders. They just want the work done. They say that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, though. So it is important to do some work on ourselves as leaders so that we ensure that our actions have the effect that we intend them to have and be willing to listen so that if they don't we course correct. Being that kind of leader carries the risk of burnout though, so I will share tools to keep you safe so that you can continue to make the Earth a better place.2023 マネジメント マネジメント・リーダーシップ 経済学

  • EP 20 Leading through Disruption with Savio Clemente
    2026/09/25

Savio Clemente, a two-time cancer survivor, knows how to lead through disruption. Despite his own challenges, his list of achievements is impressive: keynote & TEDx speaker, journalist, best-selling author of I Survived Cancer and Here Is How I Did It, board-certified health & wellness coach (NBC-HWC, ACC). We met through an interview on Authority Magazine a few years back. He was a guest on my previous podcast, the Intuitive Revolution in Business, and I am delighted to have him again.

In this interview, Savio talks about how we can lead when things don't go according to plan. His first encounter with disruption was when he was admitted to the hospital within hours of getting a sonogram after his naturopath recommended getting one after seeing something strange in his blood work.

He finds out he has stage 3 blood cancer and is taken on a wild ride of chemotherapy. He finally achieves a complete response and is cancer-free for ten years. What Savio learned from that first experience is that he didn't live to his full potential.

In June 2024, the cancer is back. Savio finds out through a routine appointment due to feeling slightly congested nasally after a trip to India. This time around he tries everything from ecstatic dance to internal family systems. Stillness is what taught Savio the most. He dove into the medical experience of a stem cell transplant, remaining in the hospital for 29 days as a spiritual exile. "The central question was no longer, 'How can I be resilient?' It was, 'How can I be adaptive and ride the waves of the experience?'"

What Savio learned from these experiences is that performance doesn't fail first. Clarity does. And clarity can only come from within. Most people mistakenly believe that solving the crisis is the work at hand, whereas Savio believes what happens after the crisis is more important. He offers a framework that he calls the ALOHA Reboot.

  • EP 19 Black Belt Leadership with Chris Natzke
    2026/08/28

Chris Natzke is a master instructor, former United States Taekwondo champion, and one of the top 1% martial artists in the world. He is also a leadership coach, keynote speaker and best selling author of two books, Breaking Through and Black Belt Leadership.

He offers board breaking experience to associations and businesses. On one side of the board they write a breakthrough they would like to experience and on the other side a limiting belief. Chris coaches participants to break the board on the side of the limiting belief, drawing from his experience as a martial art champion.

Black Belt Leadership rests on seven keys that create a life of purpose. It helps readers discover their inner champions as a path to leadership. This form of leadership rests on a vision and unlike other forms of leadership, it promotes the importance of showing up in a certain state of being, rather than doing. He also believes that compassionate service is crucial to leadership.

Chris was inspired to start practising martial arts as a young boy of ten because of a "Kun Fu" show that he watched on TV. At the time, martial arts were not often taught to children in the US so Chris attended adult classes. Three years into his practice, he met a master called J.K. Lee who is still his teacher to this day who looked into his eyes and said "I will make you a champion." What Chris discovered over the years is that his teacher didn't so much mean that he would win medals but that he would be a champion at life.

Chris needed a role model that believed in him and has embraced giving back in a similar way to his own students. But starting as an entrepreneur was scary and he lived with panic attacks that actually took him to hospital. This makes Chris a much more effective coach as he understands the fear of these major life changes and the importance of surrendering to the fear.

  • EP 18 Complex PTSD and Business with Chantal Vanderhaeghen
    2026/07/31

After being hit by a car and suffering whiplash, Chantal was tossed into a ten year tumble where she lost her spark, her business acumen and her intuition. She was belittled by relatives for the disproportionate reaction she had to what appeared to be a minor accident. The reality was that the accident was the straw that broke the camel's back as Chantal had severe un processed childhood trauma.

In this episode, we discuss the impact this had as she moved from running a successful and fulfilling practice as a masseuse and reiki practitioner and stepped up to create a line of skin care. What promised to be an exhilarating experience turned into Chantal being targeted by people who were out to profit from her vulnerability by pushing her to invest more. When she didn't get the results that she wanted, despite being featured on the cover of a magazine, she was made to feel that she hadn't tried hard enough.

She now shares the story of how in the online space, there is too much noise with self appointed gurus who compound the issues for entrepreneurs who are suffering from trauma or grief. She is advocating for a different way to do business for these entrepreneurs especially as they usually lose their connection to self and dive into self doubt and confusion. For many years, Chantal suffered from brain fog and found that none of the coaches and mentors understood what was happening to her, and didn't even care.

But instead of taking stock and slowing down, Chantal pushed through it and got deeper and deeper into trouble. Her intuition would have helped her to know that this was the wrong thing to do but it seemed nowhere to be found. Not unlike people who suffer from burnout and who think if I do one more thing, everything is going to be ok. And who are sadly encouraged by a part of an industry that focuses on its bottom line rather than in the success of their clients.

The issue with complex PTSD is that because it's largely unrecognised, people who suffer from it are more likely to think that there is something wrong with them. That somehow they are at fault. They struggle with sleep, with panic attacks or very high levels of anxiety and with memory loss. It can easily be confused with mental health issues or dementia.

To get back to Chantal, this made her more prone to the fear of missing out - the whole scarcity game that some marketers play to get you to sign up for something that might not even be right for you.

This conversation is important and I want to command Chantal for having the courage to talk about the dark side of entrepreneurship. If you would like to work with Chantal to get support for your grief, loss or trauma as an entrepreneur and perhaps step away from this downward spiral of self blame for the failures you face, you can find her on Facebook on her page, Soothing Conversations with Chantal and her website www.griefcounsellor.com.au if you are in Perth, Chantal is also available for public speaking.
