- Snowplow operator Gary Zeller found a metal clipboard and a dry Carver Petroleum delivery manifest pressed against a drainage marker at mile 41.
- The manifest listed a January 8 stop at the Aldine Truck Plaza, but the plaza had no record of any Carver delivery that day.
- Carver Petroleum’s GPS logs placed driver Chad Rogers’ tank truck at mile marker 41 at 6:40 a.m. on January 8, thirty minutes after Baker left Halloran’s Diner.
- Two more women, Paula Denning and Susan Mack, were found in subsequent Januaries at mile markers 42 and 43 respectively, one mile further north each time.
- Forensic analyst Nora Vance cast tire impressions from all three scenes and found the compound and pattern to be identical across the three sites.
