- Eleven days after Kimberly vanished, Sherry reported the first of six separate sightings, each at plausible local spots but never verified.
- The twenty-two prayer cards dated September 4, 2011, were in a locked closet at Crestwick First Methodist and written in handwriting that matched Kimberly’s style.
- Sherry had a key to the church supply closet and remained the sole source of the sighting reports for nearly two years.
