Just because something isn't bleeding anymore doesn't mean it's healed.
There's a difference between speaking from an open wound and speaking from a scar. And sometimes, we're so busy trying to convince the world that we're okay that we forget to actually heal.
In this episode of Uncontainable, we're diving into the messy, uncomfortable process of healing. Drawing from my experiences as a burn ICU nurse and my own journey through grief, we're talking about the difference between surviving and healing, why not everyone deserves access to your pain, and the pressure to turn every difficult experience into a testimony.
We'll talk about why healing doesn't always mean the pain disappears, why some scars remain sensitive, and why you don't have to rush your story just because the world wants to hear it.
A wound needs care. A scar tells a story. And both deserve grace.
You don't have to be completely healed to be worthy of love, and you don't have to turn your pain into purpose before you're ready.
Until next time, stay Uncontainable. 🩷
