  • The World Cup of 2012 (Groups A–D)
    2026/08/27

We're heading back to 2012, a year of unforgettable sport, massive pop culture moments, huge news stories and some things that are frankly terrifying to realise happened 14 years ago.

From AGUEROOOOOO!, London 2012 and Lance Armstrong to Little Mix, Netflix, the Costa Concordia disaster and loads more, everything that defined the year is eligible for the draw.

Sport versus music. News versus television. Genuine history versus complete nonsense. It's exactly the sort of comparison that shouldn't work but somehow does.

This free episode features Groups A–D as Alright Fans and Crazy Ginger Cabbie begin the search for the greatest thing about 2012.

    It's finally over.

  • BONUS EPISODE: FIFA World Cup 2026 Review
    2026/07/19

The tournament is over, and it's time for Alright Fans and Crazy Ginger Cabbie to look back on everything that made the 2026 FIFA World Cup unforgettable.

From the biggest shocks and standout players to the best matches, worst moments, surprise packages, disappointments and the stories that defined the tournament, this is our complete review of a World Cup that gave us plenty to argue about.

We revisit our predictions, discuss who exceeded expectations, who completely let us down, and reveal the moments that will live long in World Cup folklore. As always, expect strong opinions, plenty of football chat and the occasional completely unnecessary tangent.

A quick note: We recorded this before England beat France 6–4 in the third-place play-off. A nice way to finish, but after Argentina knocked us out in the semi-final, the World Cup was basically over as far as we were concerned. So this episode is very much a post-mortem on the defeat that actually hurt.

Whether you agreed with our takes throughout the tournament or spent six weeks shouting at your speakers, this is our final word on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
