  • Episode 4: The Pursuit of God — Part 2 | God Is Who He Says He Is
    2026/10/06

Who is God to you—and is your view of Him shaped by His Word or by your own experiences, emotions, and assumptions?

In Part 2 of The Pursuit of God, Pastor Paul Taylor continues his conversation with Pastors Nick, Kevin, and Kit about one of the most important foundations of faith: God is not who we think He is. He is who He says He is.

Together they explore how our understanding of God shapes everything about our relationship with Him. If we see God as distant, disappointed, or waiting for us to fail, trusting Him becomes nearly impossible. But Scripture reveals a God who is merciful, gracious, patient, faithful, forgiving, and unchanging.

Through powerful personal stories, the group discusses the difference between knowing about God and truly knowing God, learning to receive His forgiveness, recognizing His voice through Scripture, prayer, the Holy Spirit, community, and circumstances, and trusting His character when life gives us questions we cannot answer.

Kit shares his testimony of encountering God from a jail cell and discovering Him as Redeemer. Nick reflects on learning that faith isn’t always about understanding why we are walking through something—it’s about knowing Who is walking with us. And together, the group explores how knowing the character of God gives us an anchor when grief, uncertainty, failure, and the wilderness threaten to shake our faith.

You may not understand everything happening around you. You may not know why God has allowed a particular season. But when you know who He is, you can trust Him even when you cannot see the road ahead.

Faith isn’t understanding the why. Faith is understanding the Who.

    Scripture: Jeremiah 9:23–24, Malachi 3:6, Exodus 3:14, Exodus 34:5–7, Habakkuk 3:17–18, Deuteronomy 34:7

  • Episode 4: The Pursuit of God — Part 1 | Truth, Obedience & the Glory of God
    2026/09/29

What does it really mean to pursue God—not just know about Him, but know Him personally?

In Part 1 of this conversation on The Wilderness Way, Pastor Paul Taylor is joined by Pastors Nick, Kevin, and Kit for an honest discussion about building a faith that can withstand the wilderness seasons of life.

Together they explore the difference between doing things for God and actually spending time with God, why spiritual knowledge without relationship can leave us empty, and how prayer, surrender, community, and obedience draw us into a deeper walk with Him.

Paul also begins unpacking the 12 foundational stones of The Wilderness Way and the pattern God revealed to him throughout Scripture: Truth leads to Obedience. Obedience reveals God’s Glory. And encountering His Glory produces Love.

Through personal stories of wandering, surrender, ministry, hardship, unexpected encounters, and seeing God move in powerful ways, the conversation reminds us that the wilderness is not always something to escape. Sometimes it is the very place God uses to shape us, strengthen our foundation, and prepare us for what comes next.

If you’ve ever felt distant from God, found yourself trying to control what only He can carry, or wondered how to recognize His voice and follow Him more faithfully, this conversation is an invitation to seek Him with your whole heart.
