    The panel remembers Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, Frank Beard, and longtime Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen before turning to an Oklahoma Senate candidate’s primal-scream campaign video, Americans who take their freedoms for granted, and the political forces testing the limits of assimilation and public generosity. The discussion includes Lewiston, Maine’s Somali community and Britain’s Equality and Human Rights Commission declaring that the country is not doing enough for migrants.

    Things become considerably stranger when Amy recounts the story of a tracked shark apparently being swallowed by something larger in the deep ocean. BZ then offers an equally comforting warning about autonomous AI agents, digital containment, and why today’s artificial intelligence may not be the version that eventually decides humanity is optional.
    Amy highlights promising progress in pancreatic-cancer treatment and her “Heroes of 9/11” series. Rick closes with CNN and NBC using incorrect images in their Dolly Parton coverage—including a Las Vegas impersonator and Loni Anderson—and asks whether anyone experienced is still supervising America’s major newsrooms.

    Rick Robinson, Amy Curtis, and the Bloviating Zeppelin close the week with election failures, political hypocrisy, artificial intelligence, and enough deep-fried Wisconsin food to make a cardiologist nervous.

    The panel begins with Milwaukee’s latest election-administration problem and whether repeated failures involving voting equipment, ballots, and incorrect data exports warrant greater scrutiny. They then examine Luigi Mangione’s unexpected guilty plea, the federal charges against him, and the disturbing effort to transform an accused killer into a political martyr.

    The conversation turns to the WNBA and the suddenly changing rules surrounding biological men in women’s sports. After years of insisting that self-identification was enough, activists are now demanding hormones, surgery, and other qualifications when men begin testing the ideology on its own terms. As Amy puts it, woke isn’t dead—it’s hibernating.

    The crew also discusses the attempted political return of Graham Platner in Maine, the growing number of executive, ethics, and safety departures from OpenAI, concerns surrounding autonomous military systems, New York City’s second-home tax, and the inability of prominent commentators to remember that Roe v.
