Have you ever had a season where you thought, “I had hoped…”—but things didn't turn out the way you expected? In the final week of MODGNIK, we look at the “K” in our upside-down Kingdom: King on a Cross. In Luke 24, two followers of Jesus are walking home after His crucifixion. Their dreams are over. Their hope is gone. But what they don't realize is that Jesus is walking right beside them.Maybe you've been there too.You had hoped your marriage would work out.You had hoped the job would come through. You had hoped your health would improve. You had hoped things would be different by now.But the story isn't over.Jesus meets these two disciples in the middle of their disappointment, walks with them, listens to them, and ultimately restores their hope. And He does the same for us.You don't have to clean up your life before you come to Jesus. You simply have to let Him in.Your King went to the cross to take your sin—and He still meets you in the middle of your doubt, disappointment, and uncertainty. If you've lost hope, it's not too late.Jesus is still knocking. Will you let Him in?Find out more about The Village https://www.thevillagechristianchurch... FOLLOW US Facebook / thevillagechristianchurch Instagram / villagechristianchurch

What if God isn’t looking for a better version of you, but the real you?In Week 5 of MODGNIK, we explore the “I” in our upside-down Kingdom: Inviting. Jesus consistently welcomed people others overlooked, valued authenticity over appearances, and made it clear that everyone has a place in His Kingdom.Through stories from Luke 18, we discover a powerful truth: God responds to real. You don’t need the perfect prayer. You don’t need to have your life figured out. You don’t need to look like you have it all together. You can come to God exactly as you are—with your questions, struggles, doubts, hopes, and need for help. And because we've experienced that kind of welcome, we're called to extend it to others. This week, who can you invite?Someone who doesn't think they measure up.Someone who needs help.Someone who needs to know Jesus.Someone who simply needs to know they belong. The Kingdom of God is upside down and there is room for you!Find out more about The Village https://www.thevillagechristianchurch... What is worship really about—and why does it matter? In Week 4 of our MODGNIK series, we explore what it means to put the focus where it belongs: Not to us, but to God.Whether you grew up singing hymns, sitting quietly in church, or worshiping with a full band, this message explores three important questions:Why do we worship? Because God is holy. How do we worship? With our whole selves—through singing, celebration, surrender, prayer, and praise.Who do we worship? Jesus, the name above every other name.Worship isn't about a particular style or musical preference. It's about recognizing who God is and responding to His greatness.“Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory...” — Psalm 115:1Discover why there is no name greater than the name of Jesus—and why He is worthy of our worship.Find out more about The Village https://www.thevillagechristianchurch...
