It's just after midnight in January, three years ago, at a Greyhound station in central Missouri. The waiting room is empty except for a woman named Margot and her camera. She takes thirty-seven photographs over the course of the night—each one from a slightly different angle, each one showing the same empty chairs, the same buzzing fluorescent light, the same clock ticking toward dawn. But when you lay the photos side by side, the shadows don't match the light source. The clock hands move backwards between frames. And in the corner of the last photo, there's a shape that wasn't there in the first. Luna found the photos in a dusty shoebox at an estate sale. She tells the story of what the photographs show, and the woman who vanished the next morning. No one has seen Margot since.
