What starts as a trip down memory lane turns into a hilarious examination of Robin Harris, Jamika, the kids from hell, questionable first-date decisions, and one very important question: Who exactly was this movie made for? Along the way, the guys look back at just how different growing up in the ’90s really was, from VHS tapes and pay phones to parents having absolutely no idea where their kids were for hours at a time. Plus, they imagine what Bébé’s Kids could have become as an animated series before finally deciding whether the movie deserves to be called terrible or a classic.

The guys start with Target landing back in controversy and debate boycotts, offensive imagery, Black history, generational trauma, and why some companies may have lost the benefit of the doubt with Black consumers.

    Then the conversation goes everywhere, from the internet's reaction to celebrity deaths to blind loyalty in politics and relationships, and why putting anyone on a pedestal can become dangerous when you're no longer willing to admit they're wrong. The guys also discuss Gary, Indiana's extended power outages after severe weather, government disaster response, and why communities shouldn't have to depend on celebrities and private citizens to step in when help is needed. And somehow, before it's all over, they end up debating the Rapture, weather conspiracies, a Jamaican lobster in The Little Mermaid, and whether the Earth is flat. In other words, it's another perfectly normal episode of The Unemployment Line.

    This week on The Unemployment Line, The Dok and Larry P start with a question every longtime customer has probably asked: why do companies give their best deals to everybody except the people who've been loyal for years? From Sam's Club and SiriusXM to Netflix and forgotten subscriptions, the guys break down why sometimes the only way to get a company to appreciate you is to threaten to leave. That somehow leads to unlimited PTO, working from home and whether most people really need eight hours to finish an eight-hour workday.

    Then things get complicated when the conversation turns to relationships, "hyper-independence" and the idea of women wanting to enter their "soft girl era." Can you spend years building a life where you don't need anybody and then expect another person to step in and lead? The Dok and Larry P debate modern gender roles, vulnerability, expectations and why neither person should be the prize—the relationship itself should be the prize.

    Finally, a reported cocaine operation involving Penn State students and fraternity members sends the show completely off the rails. The guys debate accountability when pledges participate in criminal activity, why the situation was treated differently from drug busts they've seen elsewhere, and arrive at perhaps the most important lesson of the episode: if you're going to commit crimes, stop doing crimes with idiots.
