This week Seth Paridon and Jon Parshall are joined by Bruce McCandless III, Grandson of the Medal of Honor recipient, and son of the astronaut, to discuss Bruce's new book about his grandfather's wartime experience. In 2022, Bruce discovered his grandfather's unpublished memoir of his World War Two service, quite literally, under a hay bale and a barn. Compelled to bring his grandfather's incredible wartime experience into full view for the very first time, accomplished author Bruce McCandless III, sat down and edited his grandfather's own words and to the book that we discuss today. The words of a true hero and legend of the Pacific war a hard to top, but this conversation comes pretty close. Bruce goes through his motivations the things that he found, the things that he learned, the things that he appreciated, and the things that we can all learn from in regards to his heroic grandfather's wartime story. An absolutely fascinating conversation about an absolutely fascinating human being is sure to enlighten and entertain you all. ATTN!!
