Inside, she finds a mint-condition Hermes 3000 typewriter with a stuck carriage and a single typed sentence still in the roller: 'I know what you did.' The owner tells her it came from a foreclosure — the old Weaver place on Blight Lane. Luna buys it for twenty dollars. That night, in her motel room, she loads a fresh sheet and starts typing a letter to her sister. The carriage moves on its own. Then the bell rings.
