このコンテンツについて
The Gag rule is a rule that was used by the South to stifle the slavery debate in Congress.
The Black Whole Podcast focuses on the tragedies and triumphs of black people in the United States. Please join me as I tell the whole story about black history.
During the 1836-1844 legislative sessions, the House of Representatives had several provisions that limited debate on slavery. Collectively these provisions were known as gag rules.
