If your business lives in your head, it’s not a business yet, it’s a constant mental tab you can never close. We sit down with Jessica Lostetter, founder of Built for Both Collective, to talk about the kind of business systems and processes that give you real freedom: less brain clutter, more consistency, and more time for the people and work that actually require you.

The big takeaway is simple and practical: define your vision, design your “perfect average day,” then build systems that protect your irreplaceable work in business and at home.

  • Andy Ellwood - Smart Grocery Shopping Made Easy

Grocery prices are moving targets, and most of us are making weekly decisions with almost no visibility. I sit down with Andy Elwood, founder of Stretch, to unpack a simple but overlooked question: why can we compare flights and cars in seconds, but we still can’t easily compare the total cost of a grocery shopping list across nearby stores?

Andy explains how Stretch works as a smart grocery-shopping list and price-comparison app. You snap a photo of the list you already have (a fridge note, an envelope scribble, or a text from your spouse), and Stretch turns it into a searchable list. Then it shows which retailers near you carry those products and what the total price for your entire list looks like at each store, so you can choose based on cost, distance, and the brands your family actually wants. It’s a practical way to save money on groceries without living inside coupon apps.

  • Viktor Popovic - Washing Away the Fees, Markups, and Fine Print
    2026/06/02

Credit card processing feels simple until you’re the one paying the bill. Statements show one “rate,” then, when the month closes, the real cost is buried under layers of fees, markups, and fine print that most busy operators do not have time to decode. We talk with Viktor Popovic, co-founder of Avendo, about why that lack of transparency is a real profit leak for e-commerce businesses and how he’s trying to fix it with a fintech SaaS platform built for online merchants.

Viktor also shares the long arc behind the startup. He came to the United States after the civil war in Yugoslavia, studied in Florida, and then built Ultimate Washer from scratch into a nationally recognized e-commerce company for over 21 years before exiting. This has given him a real understanding of what e-commerce brands deal with in credit card processing.

If you’re building a startup, running an e-commerce business, or just tired of hidden credit card processing fees, you’ll get concrete ways to think about preparation, execution, and scaling. Learn more about Avendo at https://www.avendo.tech/
