Shane Gillis returns to Studio 8H for his third time hosting Saturday Night Live, with musical guest Rosalía! Did Shane deliver, or did this episode leave us wishing for a rewrite?

We break down the entire episode, sketch by sketch, from the cold open and Shane’s stand-up monologue to the bizarre brilliance of “Father-Daughter Song,” “Upfront Heating & Air Conditioning,” and “Sneakers.” We also discuss the now-infamous Green Eggs & Ham sketch, where an accidental F-bomb turns into one of the night's biggest moments, thanks in no small part to Mikey Day’s quick recovery.

Plus, we dig into Weekend Update, debate which cast members made the biggest impression, and talk about Rosalía’s theatrical performances of “Reliquia” and “Magnolias.”

Was Grace Reiter the MVP? Which sketch deserves Sketch of the Night? And how much should a controversial monologue affect our overall opinion of the episode?

Join us as we hand out our awards, compare notes, and decide where this episode lands in the Ten to One rankings.

Taylor Swift makes a surprise appearance during the monologue, Dakota Johnson jokes about her dating life, and Weekend Update goes on for almost 20 minutes.

Brad, Nate, and Ben break down the October 3, 2026, episode of Saturday Night Live, the 1,010th episode in the show's history, hosted by Dakota Johnson in her third turn.

We kick things off with the Republican midterm ads cold open and Mikey Day as Mitch McConnell. Then we cover Johnson’s monologue with Taylor Swift’s surprise cameo, Press Your Luck, the pre-taped sketches Mean, Scary Girlfriend, and Guns for Women, plus Hospital Gossip, Throne of the Dragonborne, Get Ready With Me, and a quick 10-to-1 sketch called Amazing Tales of Truth.

Weekend Update gets a lot of attention this week. It was the longest segment in over ten seasons and featured Mikey Day and Marcello Hernández as Link and Jason, Kam Patterson talking about the Glee reboot, and Sarah Sherman as matchmaker Debbie Mush. We also preview Shane Gillis hosting next week.

Whether you’re a seasoned Saturday Night Live fan or just stopping by, thanks for listening!

WE’RE BACK! Season 52 starts with Knicks Finals MVP Jalen Brunson as the host and KATSEYE making their first appearance on SNL.

We begin with the changes since last season: Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman have left, along with writer Martin Herlihy. Grace Reiter and Saidah Belo-Osagie join as featured players.

Then we go sketch by sketch, from the Mamdani and Trump cold open through "High School Musical," "Dream Academy Season 2," Weekend Update, and the back half of the show. We also look at the cut-for-time sketch "Young Rell's Crew" and ask how well Brunson held up as a host. Along the way, we hand out Sketch of the Night, Episode MVP, and the Bradometer rating, and this one didn't score high.
