In the mid-1960s, Charles James Hall says he was a young United States Air Force weather observer assigned to Indian Springs Air Force Auxiliary Field, now Creech Air Force Base, northwest of Las Vegas. His job, he later said, took him alone into remote weather stations inside the vast Nellis range complex.

Decades later, Hall made an extraordinary claim. In the desert, he said, he encountered tall, pale, humanlike beings who lived within the restricted range, operated advanced craft, and maintained an uneasy arrangement with selected American military personnel. He called them the Tall Whites.

The setting is real. Southern Nevada contained secret aircraft programs, weapons ranges, nuclear testing sites, guarded roads, and airspace closed to the public. Declassified histories confirm that U-2 and OXCART flights helped generate reports of strange objects in the sky. But no authenticated government record, photograph, physical artifact, military order, medical file, or independent witness has publicly verified Hall’s alleged beings.
