- Eugeniusz Bodo, born Bohdan Eugène Junod, was Poland's biggest film star, voted King of Polish Actors in 1932.
- His father, Teodor Junod, a Swiss immigrant, opened Urania, the first permanent cinema in Łódź around 1903.
