A fading star. A tempting promise. A better version of yourself — with some seriously fucked-up conditions. 💉
For Day 15 of 31 Days of Horror, I’m diving into Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance — a body-horror nightmare about beauty, ageing, and the pressure to stay desirable.
I’m talking Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, Dennis Quaid’s grotesque Hollywood executive, and the increasingly disgusting consequences of chasing perfection. Between the outrageous practical effects, the dark humour, and the escalating chaos, this film takes a simple temptation and pushes it somewhere absolutely revolting.
My rating: 8/10.
31 days. 31 horror movies. Read the fucking instructions.
