• Maureen Benkovich: Gray Area Drinking and the Question Most People Are Afraid to Ask
    2026/04/23

What if the reason you can't seem to cut back on drinking has nothing to do with willpower, weakness, or lack of intention?

I'm joined today by Maureen Benkovich, Alcohol Freedom Coach, author, speaker, and host of the Sober Fit Life podcast. Maureen helps high-achieving, health-conscious women and men break free from the exhausting cycle of detoxing and retoxing.

The people Maureen works with aren't who most of us picture when we think about alcohol support. They're running businesses, raising children, making decisions all day long. They're also waking up at 2 or 3am with a racing heart, frustrated that they promised themselves one glass and drank a bottle again.

They're noticing brain fog, impatience, a creeping sense that something's off, but they're not sure they have "a problem," and they're even less sure what people will think if they start questioning their relationship with alcohol.

That fear of the label, Maureen says, is one of the biggest things holding people back from even exploring the question.

What makes her approach genuinely different is that she doesn't start with willpower. She starts with neuroscience. By the time 5pm arrives and the craving kicks in, most people have been making decisions all day long.

Their brain's willpower reserve is depleted, and the dopamine is already signalling, "do what you always do." It's an automated pattern, not a moral failing. Once clients understand that, something shifts. The shame loosens. The curiosity opens up.

And the real work of building new neural pathways, through breathwork, nutrition, sleep, movement and habit replacement, can actually begin.

    In this episode we explore

What gray area drinking actually is, and why it affects far more people than the conversation around alcohol typically acknowledges

Why taking a break isn't enough, and what needs to happen during that time for lasting change to actually take root

The neuroscience of cravings, and how understanding your brain chemistry removes the shame and gives you back a sense of agency

Maureen's own journey, from years of back and forth to building a coaching practice grounded in lived experience and science

The moment everything clicks for clients, and why that first sober wedding, party, or stressful evening often becomes the turning point

This episode is for anyone who's been quietly asking themselves whether their relationship with alcohol is serving them, and hasn't yet known where to start.

  • Karen Baines: Alignment, Abundance and the Energetic Language of Money
    2026/04/22

What if the reason money isn't flowing in your business has nothing to do with money at all?

I'm joined today by Karen Baines, Conscious Wealth Mentor® and Founder of The Conscious Wealth Code®, who has spent more than ten years teaching business owners the energetic language of money, wealth, and the universe through alignment.

Karen's definition of alignment is beautifully simple and completely uncompromising: you do you, 100% of the time, 100% unapologetically, 100% from love.

The clients who find Karen are usually already doing a lot of things right. They've tried different strategies, invested in support, got close to what felt like a breakthrough, and yet the money still isn't reflecting the effort. There's a low hum they've become so used to, Karen describes it like tinnitus, always there, especially at 3am, leaking quietly into their finances, their decisions, their energy.

They can't quite name it anymore, but they feel it.

That's the person she works with, and that low hum is exactly where the work begins.

What makes Karen's approach genuinely different is that the money itself is never what she focuses on: how you're spending your time, how you're spending your money, and how you're broadcasting your value through every single choice you make.

Not just with clients, but in every relationship, every conversation, every quiet moment.

She makes a distinction I found really striking: your thoughts and feelings aren't the mechanism of attraction.

They're your navigational system. They exist to help you make conscious, aligned, grounded choices, and those choices are what vibrate at a frequency the universe responds to 😌.

    In this episode we explore

Why money is always the last piece of evidence, never the cause, and what's actually happening in the three areas that determine your wealth frequency

The energetic language of money, and how every choice you make, big or small, is broadcasting whether you're available to receive abundance

What alignment actually means in practice, beyond the word that gets thrown around and stripped of meaning everywhere

This episode is for any business owner who's been doing the inner work, running the strategy, and still wondering why the money hasn't caught up yet.

  • Jahanvi Shah: Why Your Child's Behaviour Is Actually About You
    2026/04/21

What if the most important parenting work isn't about what you say to your child, but what's happening inside you in the moment?

I'm joined today by Jahanvi Shah, Conscious Parenting Coach and Emotional Intelligence Educator, who helps parents heal their emotional patterns, regulate their nervous system, and create deeper connection with their children.

Her work weaves together neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and compassionate guidance to help families move from control to connection and raise emotionally resilient children.

Jahanvi's journey into this work started with a moment she still remembers clearly. Her daughter, then two years old, did something small. Objectively, not a big deal. And yet Jahanvi's reaction was enormous, completely out of proportion to what had actually happened. In that moment afterwards, she thought, "this reaction isn't really about what just happened." That single realisation is the heart of everything she now teaches.

The gap isn't knowledge. It's access to yourself when your nervous system is already in a stress response. Jahanvi doesn't start with scripts or techniques. She starts with what's actually happening inside the parent, because when that shifts, the dynamic with the child shifts naturally, without force.

    In this episode we explore

Why reactive parenting isn't a knowledge problem, and what's really happening in your nervous system in those triggering moments

Why parenting tools and scripts so often fail in the moment, and what needs to shift first for any technique to actually work

The neuroscience of co-regulation, and why your child genuinely cannot regulate themselves if you're not regulated

What the inner work of conscious parenting actually looks like, and how real transformation shows up gradually, then unmistakably

Jahanvi's belief that your child is here to teach you, and what becomes possible for your whole family when you approach it that way

This episode is for any parent who keeps setting the same intention, and finding themselves in the same reaction the very next morning. If you're ready to stop troubleshooting the behaviour and start understanding what's underneath it, this one's for you.

  • Gill Sealey: The Neurospicy Business Owner's Guide to Actually Getting Things Done
    2026/04/15

What if the reason your productivity systems keep failing isn't lack of discipline, but the fact that they were never designed for your brain in the first place?

I'm joined today by Gill Sealey, Small Business Coach and founder of the Brain Friendly Business Club. Gill helps neurodivergent, perimenopausal, and chronically overwhelmed business owners create a way of working that fits their real life, their energy, and their brain, rather than endlessly trying to squeeze themselves into systems built for someone else entirely.

Gill's own journey here is one I think a lot of people will recognise. Twenty years as a primary school teacher, a late ADHD diagnosis, a breakdown that, in hindsight, made complete sense, and a daughter who was the one to finally name what had been going on all along.

She came out of teaching, retrained as a coach to support parents of neurodivergent children, built a journaling membership, ran a craft business, and then one day noticed people were asking her the same question over and over: how are you doing all of this with ADHD?

The honest answer was that she wasn't doing it the "right" way. She was just doing it the way that worked for her. That realisation became the Brain Friendly Business Club.

What I found most refreshing about our conversation is Gill's take on novelty. She doesn't treat it as a flaw to overcome. For neurodivergent brains, finding a new system and then going off it within a few weeks isn't failure, it's just how things work. So instead of trying to find the one perfect approach, Gill teaches her clients to build what she calls a buffet of strategies. You try one, it works for a while, you swap it out, no shame attached.

    In this episode, we explore:

Why energy blocking beats time blocking, and how working with your energy levels instead of against them changes everything about how you run your business

The buffet approach to productivity, and why having a suite of strategies you can rotate is more sustainable than searching for the one system that will finally stick

What late diagnosis actually looks like in a business context, including the years of masking, the pressure to perform, and the relief of finally understanding your own brain

The transformation that's possible when you stop fighting how you work, including the client who went from seven unfinished business ideas to a thriving craft shop in Yorkshire

Why success doesn't have to mean growth, and the case for building a business that supports your life rather than consuming it

This episode is for any business owner who is tired of feeling like they're failing at systems everyone else seems to manage, and who is ready to hear that the problem was never them.

  • Brinsley Kazak: The Inner Landscape That Builds a Coaching Business
    2026/04/14

What if building a successful coaching business is less about having the right strategy, and more about knowing who you actually are?

I'm joined today by Brinsley Kazak, Coach and creator of the Simplify to Amplify Coach Accelerator. Brinsley works with heart-led, mission-driven coaches to help them build sustainable businesses, not by piling on more tactics, but by doing the inner work alongside the strategy.

Brinsley's path to coaching is one of those origin stories that feels both completely unique and deeply familiar. A decade as a DJ and promoter, a slow burn of burnout, a pivot that didn't quite land, two kids, a relationship ending, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, a coach who asked him not what he wanted to do, but who he was. That question changed everything. It also became the heart of his work with coaches today.

What I found most compelling in our conversation is his framing around readiness, specifically, how he thinks about it before working with anyone.

    In this episode, we explore:

Why readiness is more than motivation, and the simple three-part test Brinsley uses before working with any new coaching client

The two pillars that underpin every sustainable coaching business, and why strategy without inner work only gets you so far

How Brinsley's DJ past shaped his coaching practice, and the unexpected parallel between creating a vibe on a dancefloor and holding space in a group programme

What "who you are is how you coach" actually means in practice, and why the coaches who thrive are the ones who stop performing and start being themselves

The work Brinsley is doing in men's circles in Somerset, and why healthy masculinity, resilience and genuine community matter more than ever

This episode is for any coach who knows they're capable of more, suspects the missing piece isn't another framework, and is ready to build something that's genuinely theirs.

  • Julia Bell: Catching Yourself Before the Fall
    2026/04/10

What happens when everything looks fine from the outside, but something inside you knows it's really not?

I'm joined by Julia Bell, Coach and Mentor for women at a crossroads, helping them slow down, get clear, and make changes without burning out.

Julia works with high-functioning, capable women who are outwardly holding it all together, but internally feel stuck, disconnected, and quietly certain that something needs to change.

Her work moves through three stages: slowing down, tuning in, and choosing yourself. In a world that rewards pushing through and celebrates the hustle, Julia is doing something quietly radical. She's helping women stop overriding what their bodies and instincts are already telling them, before things reach breaking point.

What struck me about this conversation is how Julia describes the women she works with. They're not in crisis, not falling apart. They're waking up at 3am with spiralling thoughts about their career or their relationship. They're carrying stress that's showing up in their body in ways they've learned to ignore. They're giving endlessly to everyone around them while quietly asking themselves whether this is really it 😌.

Julia's own journey led her here. A fast-paced life in London, working as a Senior EA to global CEOs, a breakdown in 2018, and years of deep personal work that changed everything. She speaks about it with real honesty, and it's that lived understanding that makes her work land the way it does.

    In this episode, we explore:

The signs that something needs to change before the breakdown happens, and why our bodies often know long before our minds are ready to listen

What it looks like to slow down without giving up, and why that counterintuitive step is often what unlocks everything else

How women get clear on what they actually want, including in relationships, careers, and the way they're living day to day

The role of self-trust in lasting change, and why learning to trust yourself is the foundation everything else is built on

Why Julia believes in catching people before they fall, and what becomes possible when someone finally chooses themselves

This episode is for any woman who's functioning beautifully on the outside and knows, somewhere deep down, that something has to shift.

  • Latasha Baynham: When You've Achieved It All and Something Still Feels Off
    2026/04/09

What do you do when you've climbed the ladder, hit the goals, built the career, and it still doesn't feel like enough?

I'm joined by Latasha Baynham, Career Transition & Transformational Coach and founder of Shine Your Light Coaching. Latasha helps capable women to rebuild confidence, make strong decisions, and execute their next bold move.

With nearly 20 years partnering with senior leaders in global organisations and a background in HR and psychology, she brings a grounded, real-world perspective to navigating career transition and uncertainty.

Her clients are high performers. On paper, they've done everything right. But something has shifted, and they can feel it. They describe feeling like a passenger in their own life rather than the person behind the steering wheel.

They're at a crossroads, questioning things they've never questioned before, and the usual answers aren't working anymore.

What I found so compelling about Latasha's approach is how firmly she resists the urge to jump straight to practical solutions. Because often the issue isn't a lack of options. It's self-doubt, a shifted identity, or patterns that have been quietly running in the background for years.

She works with both the emotional and the practical, and only when that internal landscape shifts do the bold moves actually stick 😌.

    In this episode, we explore:

Why capable women stop feeling confident, and what's really driving the sense that something is off despite outward success

The difference between having options and being ready to use them, and why the internal work has to come before the practical next step

What transformation looks like when it actually sticks, from releasing the need for external validation to trusting your own judgment again

How redundancy can become a turning point, and why being forced out of the familiar is sometimes the very thing that creates the shift

This episode is for anyone who's built the career they set out to build, and quietly knows there must be something more.

  • Sofia Pedroso: The Subconscious Wall Between You and Your Next Level of Growth
    2026/04/08

What if the reason you're not growing has nothing to do with your strategy, and everything to do with what's running beneath it?

I'm joined by Sofia Pedroso, Business Shift Facilitator and founder of Shiffully.

Sofia works with established entrepreneurs who've already hired coaches, followed the strategies, and done the work, but keep hitting the same internal wall when it's time to grow.

She identifies and releases the specific subconscious patterns driving that wall. Not mindset coaching. Not more tools to add to your calendar. Precision removal of what's blocking execution.

What I find so compelling about Sofia's work is the clarity of what it isn't. This isn't about giving people more to do. Sofia does the work for her clients. She connects with the subconscious mind, identifies the root cause of what's blocking a specific area, and releases the trapped energy behind it.

Her analogy for it is a house of cards: find the card at the bottom and everything else falls. Her clients often leave a session with a completely different relationship to something they'd been avoiding, sometimes for years 😌.

    In this episode, we explore:

Why established entrepreneurs hit a ceiling despite doing everything right, and why the problem is rarely the strategy itself

How subconscious resistance shows up in marketing and sales, and why visibility blocks are often rooted in something much older and more personal

The difference between treating the symptom and finding the root, and why the same block in two different people rarely has the same cause

Why Sofia believes change is easier and faster than most people expect, when you're working with the right tools at the right level

This episode is for any entrepreneur who's put in the work, followed the advice, and still can't seem to break through. Something else is going on, and this conversation might just name it.
