  • You Good?: A Mental Health Love Note
    2025/04/30
On this week’s episode of The Silver Cocoon, we’re doing a full mental health check-in. With each other and with our audience, while covering some topics that are often left out. From the stigma men face, to self-medicating, to how we protect our peace and find our joy—this is a conversation full of softness, strategy, and honesty. We’re sharing the practices, tools, and truths that help us care for our minds and return to ourselves. Plus, a fun little game to bring some levity. Even through mental stressors, we believe this is how we birth new experiences—how we shift norms, model healing, and show up with more presence for ourselves and each other. It’s a testament to the resilience of humanity and the beauty of choosing care, connection, and joy—even when it’s hard. What better way to check in then face to face? It's always a time when we are together. Mental health can be such heavy topic, so we decided to bring some light into this episode and not only discuss the ups and downs with mental health but also some resources you can use to help improve yours and/or keep it steady! You can access these resources on our Facebook and Instagram pages. And as always feel free to follow us on all platroms HERE, we appreciate all the support! Join us LIVE in the Cocoon on Facebook and Youtube every other Tuesday at 7:30PM ET. Until next time, peace.

  • Raising Children While Raising Ourselves Pt. 1 w/ Adia Wright
    2025/02/26
Listen to the FULL episode on Youtube. This week's topic was so expansive that we went over recording threshold by 15 minutes! As a result, this episode is missing the last 15 minutes. Head over to our youtube channel to see the rest! https://www.youtube.com/live/PrNxj2I8uZk?si=kdMZ-HU1eQJLK92M Parenting isn’t just about raising boys one way and girls another—it’s about raising whole humans. But let’s be real, the way we parent has been shaped by tradition, gender roles, and the cycles passed down to us. Some of it works. Some of it? Not so much. So how do we raise children to be their fullest selves? How do we parent the “right” way vs. the real way? And what about the aunties, mentors, and community members who shape kids just as much as parents do?

Life’s transitions aren’t always easy, but staying stuck is even harder. In this episode, we dive into what causes resistance to letting go, what "leveling up" really means, and practical ways to release people, feelings, and situations that no longer serve us. We also break down the benefits of letting go—like the freedom and clarity that come with it.
