Hey there, I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here. You know, it's early Saturday morning, and I'm guessing you might be feeling that familiar tug between wanting to ease into your day and the pressure to get moving. Maybe there's something on your mind, or maybe you're just running on empty. Either way, you've made the right choice by pressing play. This is your space for relaxation, and I promise you, the world can wait for the next few minutes. Let's start by just noticing where you are right now. If you can, find a comfortable seat or lying position. You don't need fancy cushions or the perfect setup. Your couch, your bed, a chair, anywhere works. Just make sure your spine has some gentle support and your shoulders can drop away from your ears. Good. Now, let your hands rest where they naturally fall. Maybe palms up, maybe down. Whatever feels inviting to you. Take a moment and just feel the weight of your body being held by whatever's beneath you. It's doing all the work right now. You don't have to hold yourself up. Let that sink in for a second. Now, we're going to practice what I call the sigh of relief. It's simple, it's natural, and it's one of the fastest ways to signal to your nervous system that you're safe. Breathe in normally through your nose for a count of four. Then, exhale through your mouth with a gentle sigh, like you're fogging up a mirror. Do that again. In through the nose for four. Out with that sigh. Notice how your shoulders drop just a little bit more. Do it one more time, and this time, feel the warmth of that exhale. In for four. And sigh it out. Now let your breath return to its natural rhythm. No counting, no controlling. Just breathing like you're doing it in your sleep. With each exhale, imagine you're letting go of something heavy. Maybe it's tension, maybe it's a worry, maybe it's just the weight of the morning. That's all welcome here. Keep breathing like this for the next few minutes. Warm, easy, natural. If your mind wanders, it will, and that's exactly right. That's what minds do. Just gently bring it back to the sensation of breathing, like you're returning home. As we wrap up, notice how different your body feels. That ease you're experiencing right now, that's portable. You can return to it anytime today by simply taking three conscious sighs. That's your anchor. Thank you so much for joining me today on Relaxation. You deserve this peace. Please subscribe so you never miss our next session together.
