概要
A dead woman found face-down in four inches of marsh water clutching a men's size 10½ dress shoe with a clean sole-no mud, no prints-sets off a seven-year trail that ties together three women and three casinos. What does a shoe that looks like it was placed in a living room and then teleported to a marsh tell us about the last swipe on a loyalty card and a blind parking spot with a dead camera?
In this episode, we lay out the sequence of events from the moment Julie Armstrong discovered the body to the audit that uncovered irregular loyalty-card access, showing how a single object and a single unexplained card swipe create a web of unanswered questions. How did the shoe, the parking spot, and the players' club swipe converge on one woman who vanished after a routine casino visit?
Person: April Marshall
Date: December 5 (last recorded card swipe at 5:47 PM)
Location: Painted Ridge Grand Resort / overflow lot space 114
Status: Deceased (body found in marsh at Saguaro Flats)
Investigator: Detective Cynthia York
- The shoe was a men's dark brown leather right dress shoe, size 10½, with a clean sole and trace talc under the tongue.
- April Marshall had 46 recorded visits to Painted Ridge Grand Resort over three years, each visit at least 90 minutes long.
- April's loyalty card registered a single swipe at 5:47 PM at the players' club entrance on December 5 and produced no further activity or camera footage inside the resort.
- April's white Ford F-150 was found parked in overflow lot space 114 at the eastern perimeter the next morning; that spot was outside main security camera coverage and the eastern fence-post camera had been reported malfunctioning 11 days earlier.
- An audit 14 days after April's body was found showed four women over 45 had their loyalty-card accounts pulled from a staff terminal within 12 hours of their recorded visits using the same staff login: Thomas Hunter.
