Are you living with an inner bully? You know, that voice inside your head that says things to you that you would never say to a stranger, much less someone you love?
How about things like forgiveness and grace? Are you willing to offer those things to others but are not so generous when it comes to your own mistakes?

If you can relate, welcome to the club! The self-coaching club! I’m mercy rice - Leadership Development Coach, God’s girl, and caffeine queen! I use the same skills I apply in leadership development to teach you how to turn your inner bully into a trusted ally. We’re building a community of self-coaching warriors that are willing to completely flip the script on that inner monologue and finally experience emotional peace!Copyright 2024 All rights reserved.

Episode 110: Making Room for More: The Best is Yet to Come!

After 110 episodes, it’s time to close the chapter on The Self-Coaching Club Podcast—and make room for something new. 🩷

In this final episode, I’m reflecting on what these conversations have meant to me, what I hope you’ll carry with you, and why I believe inner work was never meant to become another way to constantly “fix” ourselves.

The goal is to know ourselves better, offer ourselves grace, make more intentional choices—and then go live our lives.

We’ll talk about trusting what you’ve learned, remembering that you know more than you think you do, and having the courage to recognize when it’s time for a new season.

I’m also sharing what’s next: my new podcast, Room for More with Mercy Rice.

Because maybe the question isn’t always:

What do I need to work on next?

Maybe sometimes the better question is:

What am I ready to make room for?

More joy. More connection. More adventure. More rest. More purpose. More curiosity. More of whatever God may have for you in this next season.

You don’t have to be unhappy with your life to want something more.

You can be deeply grateful for where you are and still be curious about where you’re going.

    One Final Self-Coaching Question

As we close this chapter, take some time to ask yourself:

What am I ready to make room for?

You don’t need a plan yet.

    Just notice your answer.

Thank you for listening, growing, laughing, reflecting, and doing your own inner work alongside me for these 110 episodes.

The Self-Coaching Club may be ending, but the conversation isn’t.

The best is yet to come.

Let’s make room for more. 🩷

  • You're Allowed to Change Your Mind
    2026/09/07
🩷 SHOW NOTES You’re Allowed to Change Your Mind

Have you ever continued with something mostly because you'd already told everyone you were going to do it?

Changing our minds can feel like failure—but sometimes it's simply evidence that we've learned something.

In this episode of The Self-Coaching Club Podcast, we're talking about giving ourselves permission to reconsider decisions, goals, plans, and even things we once felt certain we wanted.

Changing your mind doesn't necessarily mean the original choice was wrong. Sometimes you've simply gained information you couldn't have had before.

    This Week's Self-Coaching Questions

    If you're reconsidering something, ask:

If nobody else knew about my original decision, what would I choose now?

Am I changing my mind because this is uncomfortable—or because something has genuinely changed?

What do I know now that I didn't know then?

Then take it to God and ask for clarity—not simply confirmation.

A Thought to Carry With You

You don't have to criticize who you were in order to honor who you're becoming.

    You're allowed to learn.

    You're allowed to grow.

And you're allowed to choose again. 🩷
