  • 5 ZERO TALENT Habits for Teenagers (and You) || Ep. 157
    2026/04/28

Welcome to this week's episode of The Second of Strength Podcast. This week's episode focuses on raising men through building key habits and character traits.

I have 2 boys. One is a teenager and the other in elementary school. It's been so interesting to watch these two young men navigate the world. As I sat back and watched a few interactions this week I saw a need to teach my son a few things that would help him in the future. I thought these things would help you and your kids.

The beauty of these lessons is that they require zero talent. Everybody can do them.

The difference is that not everybody does and it could make all the difference in their life.

    1. Good body language
    2. Being coachable
    3. Having high energy
    4. Work ethic and doing a little extra
    5. Keeping the right - neutral - attitude

The beauty of these lessons is that 1. It's not just for sons. 2. It's not just for boys. 3. it's not just for youth. 4. It's for you.

  • The 1 Degree Rule: How to Get Back on Track in Your Life || Ep. 156
    2026/04/21

Did you know that if a pilot takes off from Los Angeles headed to New York just one degree off course, they’ll land 40 miles from where they were supposed to be? That’s not New York — that’s Connecticut. Just a one degree difference.

In this week's episode of the One Second of Strength Podcast, host Tanner Clark, talks about the small degree that can make or break our life. It's not the one missed workout. Not the one morning you skipped your routine. That first mile off course — it doesn’t derail you. It doesn’t ruin your life. It’s the next mile, and the next mile, and the next mile after that. It’s staying one degree off and never correcting. That’s what puts you somewhere you never intended to go.

We’re talking today about where you’ve gotten a little off course — your habits, your goals, the things you said you were going to do — and what it looks like to shift back. Not overhaul your whole life. Not do all the things at once. Just one thing today that gets you pointed back in the right direction.

Because the same compounding that takes you off course works the other way too. One right action, repeated over and over again, is how you get to where you want to go. You are more than capable of that.

  • You Get Out What You Put In: The Mirror Theory Mindset Shift || Ep. 150
    2026/03/10

What if the reason things aren’t working in your life isn’t your circumstances — it’s what you’re putting into the mirror?

In this episode, we break down The Mirror Theory — the viral concept that what you project is what you get back. But this isn’t just about smiling at strangers. We’re going deep inside: your mindset, your energy, your self-talk, and the silent story you’re telling yourself every single day.

Here’s what most people miss: there are actually two mirrors. The external one — how others reflect your energy back. And the internal one — how you start to see yourself based on what you’re projecting. The internal mirror is the one that can quietly snowball into self-doubt, shrinking, and missed opportunities — without anyone else doing a thing.

The good news? The positive snowball works just as fast.

You get out what you put in.

This episode shows you how to start putting in the right things.

    • What The Mirror Theory is and why it went viral

    • The difference between the external mirror and the internal mirror

    • How negative self-projection snowballs — and how to stop it

    • The 4 things worth projecting: confidence, calm, optimism, and authenticity

    • A simple 5-second check-in to use before any room, meeting, or hard conversation

    • Why “acting as if” isn’t fake — it’s how the internal mirror gets reprogrammed

“Most people are trying to change their circumstances. The Mirror Theory says: change what you’re projecting first — and watch your circumstances start to shift.”
