We dip our toes into past life recollection stories in young children and share our own years long recurring dreams. Nikki describes a dream she and three other family member shared. Samara fights aliens with a fireman's axe and Nikki describes a dagger from a past life? What do these dreams mean? Are they completely random or are they trying to tell us something? Later we get into the beauty that is the human body as we briefly discuss what we love most about the male and female bodies. Nikki shares her struggle with her body image and how the beautiful men of Florida helped her see herself in a better light. They talk about the good and bad sides of digging into Reddit. And they end it with a game of Put A Finger Down. Note: The honorable death they could remember the name of is Seppuku. Samurai would do this as an honorable death rather than fall into the hands of their enemies. Also, Nikki learned that she drops the F bomb. A lot.     This week in part 2 of last week's episode, we discuss women’s reactions to men complementing them. Nikki has some pretty strong opinions about this, but also understands that not all women share her opinion. Nikki talks about how she believes that some women's negative reactions are why men are increasingly hesitant to approach women or give them a compliment; and then other women, who welcome compliments, wonder why men do not say anything to them or avoid eye contact. We go on to encourage our listeners to spread kindness, smiles, and compliments, not negativity, judgement, and rudeness. Next up is how they feel about acting your age? We agree that we should all act like who we are. Take care of our responsibilities, but act like ourselves, not our age, whatever that even means. Nikki and Samara touch on how women, especially moms, put themselves and self-care on the back burner, because they are busy managing, supporting and looking after the household and everyone it that they don’t get a lot of time (if any) with their friends, other adults, or their hobbies. Nikki wants her Mother’s Day gift to be a day and night at a hotel... alone. NOTE: We recognize that single dads are often times in this position as well. The Portland food event Nikki couldn’t remember is called Ticket to Dine, it used to be called Portland Dining Month and it happens in March. The dynamic of it has changed from what Nikki talked about. Feel free to Google Portland’s Ticket to Dine. Nikki talks about how she misses hosting parties at her home and having lots of people over. Samara recalls being obsessed with Hilary Duff as a little girl while traveling to Yellowstone with our grandparents. Nikki discusses the overwhelming number of men who have been swiping right on her Tinder account and sliding into her Reddit DMs and wonders how the hell she’ll ever filter through ‘em all. And her dumb ass signed up for ANOTHER dating site?? Samara creates a missing person milk carton image for one of the men who has never met her, but wants Nikki to kidnap him and give him Stockholm Syndrome. Samara teaches us about cryptid zoology and introduces our first cryptid of the show, the Squonk! Nikki side bars briefly into the 1995 film, Mall Rats. Samara gives a brief background of the ‘founding fathers’ of cryptid zoology. What will Nikki’s reaction be to this apparently hideous creature? Will she be repulsed by it or will she want one of her very own to love? As Samara attempts to describe and teach Nikki about the Squonk, Nikki can’t seem to keep her shit together to make it through the entire thing without laughing her ass off. Samara tells us about a long work day, the interesting client she had, and of a stranger she complimented (see we're about it, too!) Do you know Scotland’s national animal? Nikki didn't. What an arse! It'll get answered by Samara, don't you worry. Also! Samara's Oklahomie gets their very own shout out! You know who you are, you cheeky devil, you! Nikki asks Samara what fictional animal she'd be bonded to. In true fashion, Nikki gives her answer pretty quick, meanwhile, Samara takes her sweet time figuring out how to answer while also dismantling the whole conversation with her poor listening skills.     Class is in session! Welcome to Sex Ed, where Nikki and Samara will be your instructors during this introductory saucy seminar of coitus and the ins and outs of the horizontal hokey pokey. At the end you’ll graduate with your 100% totally legit, totally not imaginary, Certified Dirty Coitus Diploma. What’s a new class without ice breakers? Would you choose Honey Badgers or Hyenas (there is no reasoning, just which one)? And, we’ll all discuss each other's favorite creatures on land, in sea, and in air. Look how well we’re all getting to know each other. Isn’t this nice? This saucy Sex Ed seminar is inspired by those your teachers (Nikki and Samara) have encountered in one way or another that shocked them with their lack of knowledge of sex and practicing safe sex. This is by no means an all encompassing Sex Ed class (again, introductory, hence the 101), however your lovely lecturers will cover some interesting and important topics. If you students enjoy this course enough, maybe they’ll come back for 201 in the future. Topics for class are: anal to vaginal sex facts, myths and truths of semen and squirting, dangers of inserting certain objects inside the body, and the most common STIs around the world, US, and UK. At one point, Nikki and Samara will issue the men a challenge for the next time they are… polishing the ol’ pole. Extra credit points will be awarded.
