  • When Your Spiritual World Gets Bigger
    2026/10/14

What happens when your spiritual world becomes bigger than the beliefs, categories, and experiences that have shaped you?

In this episode of The Sacred Resonance Podcast, Reverend Larry J. Morris III explores spiritual expansion—not necessarily as a rejection of what we’ve inherited, but as an invitation to deeper understanding, experience, and discernment.

Drawing from his journey through progressive Christianities, Black American spiritual traditions, mysticism, and African and African diasporic traditions, including Ifá, Larry reflects on how our encounters with the Sacred can challenge, affirm, and enlarge what we understand to be possible. He also considers the similarities he has experienced between Christian prophetic traditions and Ifá divination, while honoring their distinct spiritual frameworks.

From inherited theology and identity to ancestral relationships, spiritual communication, and inner knowing, this conversation invites us to remain curious about what we’re becoming and discovering.

A question to carry: Where is your spiritual world expanding, and what might you be invited to reconsider, receive, or release?

  • What Does It Mean to Become?
    2026/10/07

What does it mean to become?

We often talk about becoming as though there is some finished version of ourselves waiting at the end of the journey. But life rarely works that way. We move through real stages and real thresholds. We arrive—and then, eventually, life asks us to move again.

In this episode of The Sacred Resonance Podcast, Reverend Larry J. Morris III reflects on liminal spaces, the stages that mark our lives, and the difference between genuine growth and a culture obsessed with continuous self-improvement. Becoming does not have to mean constantly fixing, optimizing, or proving ourselves. Unfinished does not mean defective.

Larry also explores the gift of having a horizon: those moments when we can imagine where we may be headed and allow that vision to give us direction without turning the future into an indictment of the present.

    A question to carry:

What in you may already be becoming before you have language for it?

  • The Return: Where I’ve Been, What I’m Listening for Now
    2026/09/23

Sometimes we return to familiar places as different people.

After stepping away from the podcast for the summer, Reverend Larry J. Morris III returns to Sacred Resonance with reflections on what changed in the silence—and what it means to begin again without pretending we are starting from scratch.

In this Fall season premiere, Larry reflects on completing his first year of senior ministry, an expanding spiritual life, trust and timing, relationships that change, the gift of human limits, loneliness, technology, liberation, and learning to recognize the many ways we listen for the Sacred.T

his is not a story about having everything figured out.

It is an invitation into rootedness, curiosity, discernment, and the possibility that returning does not require becoming who we were before we left.

    A question to carry:

What are you hearing now that you could not hear before the silence?

  • Leadership After Emergence
    2026/06/03

What happens after growth begins? In this episode, we explore leadership not as performance or pressure, but as stewardship. This reflection invites you to consider what it means to lead from sustainability, to care for what has emerged, and to resist the pull toward striving. Leadership, at its best, is not about doing more—it’s about tending what matters.
