The Rooted Reinvention

  • サマリー

  • We are told to reinvent ourselves by starting from scratch. But the roots of who you are already wait under the layers of ‘shoulds’ the world has given us. Katy Rose, MSc, teaches reinventors how to reinvent themselves without burning their life down, or burning themselves out. Because being yourself doesn’t need to feel so damn hard™. If you are tired of all the quick fixes, seek a “new you”, or want to level up your life, without losing everything you’ve worked to create, this is for you.

  • How We Define Brokenness Wrongly: The Pressure We Put On Ourselves | #56
    2021/09/07

My entire journey as a lifelong learner and soul searcher has been fuelled by feeling ‘broken.’

Reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle last year really hit me, and an article by Terri Cole a couple of months ago have been adding together in my brain as I deal with some personal transition.

This episode is a reminder to myself as well as you that we are not broken because they tell us we should be/feel/do differently.

“Broken means: does not function as it was designed to function. A broken human is one who does not function the way humans are designed to function. We all seem to function in the exact same way” - UNTAMED – Glennon Doyle

  • Why Our Motivation to Change is Missing Willingness | #55
    2021/08/31

I’ve been really diving into ACT theories this month, and one aspect that really got me reflecting on my work as a life coach and wellbeing practitioner is that of being willing to go through the sucky parts of life to reach the more aligned sections. Today, that’s what we dive into.

  • How Constraints Are a Gift for our Creativity | #54
    2021/08/24

This week marks the deadline of a writing challenge I have entered. And with this deadline, I’ve been thinking a lot about constraints and limits – and how they can be HELPFUL for our creative projects.

It’s also my birthday this week, so hai, newfound wisdom.
