We also discuss the results of all of the preliminary round games in the men's tournament as well as the quarterfinals. We preview the semifinal matchups and predict who will come out on top.

    The boys are back to cover all the latest events around the NHL. Hat-tricks are being scored at the highest rate we’ve ever seen. The Islanders make a couple trades to supplement some of their long-term injuries and prove to team that they are going for the playoffs this year. The Rangers have shut-down Panarin and have started fielding offers from a large crop of teams. Charlie Coyle and Roman Josi join the 1000 games played club. Hampus Lindholm and Marcus Johansson named to team Sweden as injury replacements. Vegas will meet th Stars at Jerry’s world in Dallas for next years stadium series. The Leafs are spiraling on and off the ice just in time for Marner to make his return to Toronto. The Norris Trophy race is one of the crazier ones we’ve seen in years. Colorado is actually capable of going through a rough patch. Malinski and Chariot sign extensions. Patrick Kane passed Mike Modano to become the the all-time US born leading scorer. Some movie and show recommendations and all new rookie laps and moves of the week.

    We bring you a Hockey Day Minnesota exclusive as we interview two current NCAA Division 3 players and Minnesota Hockey products in Carter & Jordan Newpower. We discuss growing up playing youth hockey for their hometowns, their transition into junior hockey where they were teammates for two seasons and now what it is like to be rivals in the MIAC conference.

    We also previewed the matchups that are set for Hockey Day Minnesota in the host city of Hastings. Plus, all new quick hits none bigger than Chris Drury signaling to Rangers fans that they are entering a "retooling phase" which comes at the expense of moving on from Artemi Panarin.

    A couple more big trades were made with one of the players being acquired by a surprise trade contender in the San Jose Sharks.

    Nugent-Hopkins and Killorn played their 1000th games, Jonanthan Toews returned to Chicago to an overwhelming ovation from the fans.

    We had a goalie fight with Bobrovsky taking on Nedelkevic, Jackson LaCombe replaced Seth Jones on Team USA due to injury, and Buffalo finally has found a player that wants to commit to them long term in Josh Doan

The Islanders take things outside on their day off in Minnesota. Ovechkin reaches 20 goals for the 21st year in a row which leaves him second only to Mr. Hockey. The Blue Jackets parted ways with Dean Evason and hired an old rival of his in Rick Bowness. Connor McDavid is going streaking again as he extends his point streak to 20 games for the first time in his career. Tampa Bay and Buffalo are the two hottest teams in the league currently and we debate which one is more impressive. Mitch Marner faces off with The Maple Leafs for the first time as an opponent.     The boys recap the Sweden winning the World Junior championship for the first time in forever and some of their best players are next up to Star in the NHL. The league announced that Utah will be the location of next year's Winter Classic in what will be just their 3rd season in the league. They will face their mountainous rival in the Colorado Avalanche. BONUS Ryan blind ranks past winter classic locations and some of his answers might surprise you. We talk about Patrick Kane reaching the vaunted 500 goal milestone while also addressing the legacy and impact that his career and playing style has had on American hockey. After starting off the season on fire, the Devils are now in turmoil, and a major change seems imminent. Collin pays tribute to Glen Hall known as "Mr. Goalie" after his passing was announced last week. The Senators President shuts down a nasty rumor started by internet trolls, Milan Rink updates, Broberg extension & More Rookie Moves & Laps of the week!

    The boys ring in the new year by discussing the recently released Olympic teams for the United States, Canada, Sweden, & Finland. We discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each team and touch on some notable snubs. We also recap the Winter Classic that wasn't so winter-like in Miami and if anything needs to change with where the NHL selects venues for the big game. The United States and Canada bow out of the World Juniors before the final leaving the Gold Medal for either Sweden or Czechia. Auston Matthews passes Mats Sundin for the most goals in Maple Leafs History. Stamkos joins the 600 goal club. The Penguins trade for Yegor Chinakov. J.J. Moser inks a long-term deal with the Lightning. Collin pulls a classic rookie move in the alumni game and we set some goals for 2026.
