The Dragon has sent a strong and powerful army to defeat The Fetid Rat, The Koi Clan. The Koi Clan are a powerful group of warriors from The Mainland hired by The Dragon as mercenaries. Will their assault of Sado succeed in killing The Fetid Rat or will The Dragon learn his err in crossing The general.

After returning to his home in Sado The Fetid Rat meets with his nephew. Expecting the return and subsequent attack of his former ruler, The Dragon, The Fetid Rat seeks to inflate his martial power by recruiting more ronin. He journeys to find a former friend of The Boar, Ryuta Hato, to help in his pursuit of said goal.

After a five-year-long campaign, The Dragon has successfully claimed his place from warlord to The new Emperor of Japan. To celebrate he's decided to host a banquet for all of the armies including his generals. They gather to feast on their riches and one of the most peculiar members would be The Fetid Rat. His origin and his journey in The Ronin timeline begin here though his true goals remain obscured.

The Horse confronts The Dragon to hear how he and his fellow ronin are to be handled. An audience and confrontation with the miscreant and the stern emperor is the conclusion to the first group's story.
