Welcome to the Retrieval Podcast where we're retrieving the Church of the past for the Church of today.

Hosted by Andy Nichols, professor of Church History and Historical Theology at Ozark Christian College and Lincoln Seminary, and co-hosted and produced by Ben Jones, associate pastor at Gateway Christian Church, we explore the teachings of the ancient church, talking about how they can help us better love Jesus today.

Today we dive into prayer, looking at the wisdom of the ancient church when it came to prayer moving from asking to resting. We talk about contemplative prayer, keeping the hours, and how a rhythm of prayer can move into a lifestyle of prayer.
