In this episode, Kait and Maddie have a conversation with Founder, and CEO of HER Campaign, Britney Higgs. Britney shares her story of how the Lord grabbed hold of her heart and began to unfold His plan for her life in ways she could have never imagined. Britney walks us through how she was exposed to human trafficking in Iraq and how her heart was broken for the cause coming back to the US. Alongside her husband, Sammy, she established HER Campaign in 2016 to provide aftercare programs and support for survivors in their journey from recovery to economic independence. Her story is one of bold faith and obedience, and her prayer is that you walk away from this conversation with a new, deeper understanding that human trafficking is happening all around us, and it is the churches job to be the hands and feet of Jesus to survivors.

In this episode, Kaitlin and Maddie have a deep conversation with their guest, Martha Metzler. Martha is a licensed psychotherapist and seminary graduate who is a dedicated advocate for mental health and faith in her community. Martha speaks on a book she recently wrote called Sandpaper Moments: Growing through Life's Friction with Grit and Grace. She walks us through the heart behind her book, what sandpaper moments look like, and how to overcome those moments from a faith perspective. Martha, Maddie, and Kaitlin chat about hard moments, taking thoughts captive, being rooted in scripture, and what it truly looks like to live in surrender on a daily basis. You will leave this conversation taking a breath of fresh air and being reminded that you can live freely in the tension between the hard and the goodness of God, knowing that your identity and hope is always found in Him.
