The boys couldn't wait for the new chimney to be built but grandpa suddenly tells them that it must be put off. They are terribly disappointed, until the find out the reason why!

The nursing profession didn't always look as it does today. Before the Crimean War, London hospitals lacked proper hygiene practices and properly trained nursing staff. The women in the story today helped to change all of that-- and it all started with nursing a dog back to health!
