  • Dr. Kirk Milhoan | Silenced Before It Began: Inside the Canceled ACIP Meeting
    2026/04/01
Just days before a highly anticipated ACIP meeting—one that many hoped would finally acknowledge vaccine injury and begin restoring trust in public health—it was abruptly shut down, halting a conversation many believed was long overdue. On March 16, 2026, a federal judge, Judge Brian Murphy, issued a preliminary ruling that blocked the newly appointed members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) from serving. The ruling cited procedural concerns with how the committee had been formed. However, the decision was met with significant criticism, with many questioning the strength of its legal reasoning and the broader implications of halting the committee’s work—particularly given its potential to disrupt ongoing public health functions and delay critical discussions. The impact was immediate. The March 18–19 ACIP meeting was canceled, bringing the committee’s work to a standstill before it could begin. For thousands of individuals living with life-altering conditions following COVID-19 vaccination, that meeting represented something rare: hope. Hope that their experiences would be recognized. Hope that science would catch up to reality. Hope that someone, finally, would listen. In this episode of The React19 Podcast, Dr. Kirk Milhoan offers an inside look at what was planned—and what was lost. At the heart of the discussion is a simple but critical principle: medicine must continuously evaluate both risk and benefit. Not just in theory—but in practice, in real time, and with full transparency. Instead, what many patients have encountered is something very different. Dismissal. Silence. And in many cases—being told their symptoms couldn’t possibly be related. But as Dr. Milhoan explains, failing to acknowledge adverse outcomes doesn’t eliminate them—it prevents progress. Without honest evaluation, there is no path to better treatments, safer interventions, or restored trust. The halted ACIP meeting was intended to begin that process. To bring forward data. To ask hard questions. To allow open scientific discussion. And perhaps most importantly—to give a voice to those who have been living this reality. The broader issue, however, extends beyond one meeting. It raises deeper questions about how decisions are made in medicine—and who they are made for. Is the goal to protect systems? Or to serve patients? Because at the center of this conversation are real people—families who have lost loved ones, individuals who have lost their health, and a growing number of Americans who no longer trust the institutions meant to protect them. Rebuilding that trust won’t come from authority. It will come from honesty. From acknowledging where mistakes were made. From allowing open debate. From putting patients—not policies—at the center of care. As Dr. Milhoan puts it: truth may take time—but it does come. And for those still waiting to be heard, that truth cannot come soon enough. • Lorin Jeppsen | Focus on the Journey - You Got This!
    2026/03/29

Before October 2021, Lorin Jeppsen was the picture of health—an active-duty B-52 pilot turned Air National Guard special warfare member, with a deep passion for fitness rooted in both his career and identity.

When the COVID-19 vaccine mandate was implemented, Lorin had reservations but ultimately complied under pressure from military leadership and the belief that he would be supported if anything went wrong. Just seven days later, he developed a cascade of serious symptoms—including vertigo, chest pain, dizziness, numbness, and nervous system dysfunction—marking the beginning of a life-altering medical journey.

Despite early medical acknowledgment linking his condition to the vaccine, Lorin faced a frustrating path through emergency care and multiple specialists, often met with uncertainty and limited guidance. As his condition persisted, he was forced to navigate a complex and bureaucratic medical evaluation process within the military—ultimately requiring legal representation and nearly two years of appeals to secure medical retirement and the benefits he was entitled to.

Lorin also shares the emotional toll of the experience—including shifts in how he was treated within the military and the isolation many face when dealing with misunderstood or unrecognized conditions.

Throughout the conversation, Lorin reflects a “positive realist” mindset—acknowledging the seriousness of his condition while remaining focused on incremental progress, resilience, and moving forward despite the challenges.

  • Chaplain James and Faye Link | We Are Here to Help the Injured
    2026/03/19
In this React19 podcast episode, former United States Army chaplain James Link and his wife, Faye, share their experience following James’s mandated COVID-19 vaccination during deployment, which led to life-threatening heart complications. Their story is a powerful and sobering look at the human cost of vaccine injury, institutional denial, and the resilience required to keep moving forward. They open up about the challenges they faced—from stigma within the military and lack of support, to bureaucratic obstacles and financial hardship—while also highlighting the strength they found through faith, community, and advocacy. Today, through their work with React19’s Military Chapter, they are committed to helping other injured service members navigate these challenges. Injured military members may also be eligible to apply to the React19 Care Fund, which offers grants of up to $10,000 to help with medical needs. Faye is also launching a support group specifically for caregivers, recognizing the unique burdens they carry and the need for connection and encouragement. If you or someone you know is struggling with vaccine injury—especially within the military—know that you are not alone. Reach out, connect, and keep fighting for recognition and support.
