You probably know someone who can map out the entire timeline of the Rapture, the signs, the players, the sequence, but couldn't tell you the name of a struggling neighbor two pews over. That's not a coincidence. That's a theology.

In this first full episode, I trace the actual history behind Fundamental Dispensationalism, a system barely 150 years old that convinced generations of American Christians it was simply "what the Bible plainly says." We go from J.N. Darby and the Scofield Reference Bible into what this framework actually costs a church when its real mission quietly becomes prediction instead of discipleship, pulling in David Platt's challenge about the absence of the "sinner's prayer" anywhere in Scripture, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer's warning about cheap grace.

I also tell you two stories from my own life I've never fully told anywhere else, growing up under a well-meaning prophecy teacher who taught his view as settled fact, and years spent in a grief-driven Bible study where asking an honest question got me labeled as "corrupted" by my own seminary education.

This isn't a takedown for the sake of a takedown. It's an argument for what the church's actual mission was always supposed to be, and where I've landed myself: an inaugurated eschatology that trades the escape hatch for restoration.
