It's important that we PROTECT OUR LEGACY — PRESERVE OUR HISTORY — SECURE OUR FUTURE. This website and podcast explores our family history, ranging from the Civil War to the present day. We share family stories, explore veteran recollections from historical letters, and celebrate stories of hope, love, and triumph. Guest appearances and discussions support the preservation of valuable family heirlooms, documents, and pictures. We also provide information about vital resources, mental health support, and navigating challenges like PTSD. Our goal is to create a space where veterans, friends, and family members can find support by sharing our history, protecting our legacy, and ensuring that future generations never forget the sacrifices made by our families through the centuries. With your support and guidance from the board, I truly believe we can preserve, protect and secure our future for generations to come. Let me introduce, SHERRI CAMP. She is the Genealogy Librarian at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library (retired) in Topeka, Kansas. She teaches regular classes on genealogy and organizes cultural heritage programs, promoting genealogy and family history research. She has been a genealogist for over thirty years.
