The Purpose of the Ink on the Page

We can understand the doctrine of abiding, mercy, faith, and the promises of God, but those truths must move beyond our minds and become the rhythm of our lives.

From Moses at the Red Sea to David standing before Goliath, Scripture reveals a God whose faithfulness is not confined to stories from the past. The God who moved the obstacle in front of Moses is still able to make a way when we feel trapped, and the God who defeated the giant before David is still able to confront what stands against us today. The purpose of the ink on the page is not simply information—it is application and transformation. Like the disciples whose hearts burned as Jesus opened the Scriptures, our prayer should be that every word draws us nearer to God and transforms us more and more into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
