The Public Access Podcast 678 - Christopher Coleman: What Happens When AI Goes Rogue?

The Public Access Podcast 678 with Christopher Coleman

What happens when artificial intelligence starts doing things you didn't expect, like deleting its own system files?

Rusty Diamond welcomes Christopher Coleman, an AI architect, entrepreneur, and founder of BrokerWise, for a fascinating conversation about the technology behind artificial intelligence and what happens when you start building your own systems.

Christopher has spent more than 20 years working in IT and infrastructure, with a focus on artificial intelligence since 2019. He explains what goes into training AI models, building private data centers, and creating systems that can operate without depending entirely on cloud services.

We talk about everything from Raspberry Pi computers and AI-generated music to voice cloning, coding, automation, and the possibilities of having your own personal artificial intelligence.

Christopher also shares the story of giving one of his AI systems too much freedom and watching it start deleting the very files it needed to function.

That leads us into a bigger discussion about AI governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and the importance of building safeguards into increasingly powerful technology.

We also get into the challenges businesses face when working with sensitive information, how AI is changing software development, and Christopher's concerns about rogue AI and critical infrastructure.

It's a conversation about building things, breaking things, learning from mistakes, and figuring out how to use powerful technology without letting everything go completely off the rails.

The Public Access Podcast 676 - Kizbee: The Internet Was Better When It Went Uh-OhThe Public Access Podcast 676 with Kizbee

Kizbee joins Rusty Diamond for a conversation that somehow manages to make ICQ, Columbia House, dial-up internet, old relationships, music collecting, Whatnot, flea markets, eBay, VHS tapes, comics, and taking a shit part of the same coherent story.

Well, “coherent” might be generous.

Rusty and Kizbee go back through the early days of getting online, when talking to somebody across the country meant paying for long-distance calls or waiting until nobody needed the damn phone so you could connect to the internet. They remember ICQ, early online relationships, discovering music, collecting physical media, and watching the internet slowly turn into something completely different.

The conversation eventually makes its way into collecting and reselling, including Whatnot, vinyl, comics, VHS, T-shirts, flea markets, and the Card Collective. Rusty and Kizbee even realize how much stuff has passed between them over the years.

Finally, Kizbee explains where the name “Kizbee” actually came from.

It is not inspirational.

It is not spiritual.

It involves poop.

The Public Access Podcast 675 - Stuart Kemp: Bulldog Bob Brown Jr. and 40 Years of Pro Wrestling

The Public Access Podcast with Stuart Kemp

Rusty Diamond reconnects with longtime wrestling veteran Stuart Kemp, also known as Bulldog Bob Brown Jr., for a conversation spanning nearly four decades of professional wrestling, road stories, survival and the people who kept the independent wrestling world alive.

Stuart started announcing in 1986 and worked a Stampede Wrestling card before becoming involved in virtually every corner of independent wrestling. He announced, booked, promoted, wrote about wrestling, photographed it, sold tickets and merchandise, set up rings and traveled through towns most people have probably never heard of.

Stuart and Rusty talk about Stampede Wrestling, the Canadian and Pacific Northwest wrestling scenes, the old territory system, wrestling magazines, Brian Pillman, Dynamite Kid, Bad News Allen, Bruiser Brody, Abdullah the Butcher, Owen Hart, Mike Shaw, Sandy Barr, hardcore wrestling in Japan and what wrestling looked like before everything was instantly available online.

They also get into the Cauliflower Alley Club, the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, Andre the Giant’s giant-ass cribbage board, Stuart’s 18 years with the Portland Winterhawks Booster Club and why keeping wrestling history alive matters.

The conversation eventually turns to Stuart's own fight for survival. In 2018, he suffered two strokes, spent six weeks hospitalized, had to relearn how to walk, eat and swallow, and underwent a dangerous procedure to restore blood flow to his brain.

After the wrestling community helped him through that period, Stuart found ways to give back to the same community that supported him.

It’s wrestling history from someone who didn’t just watch it.

He fucking lived it.

The Public Access Podcast 674 - LIVE HYPNOSIS: Tahira Amir Sultan Khan & Memory Recall

Episode 674 of The Public Access Podcast is different.

Instead of simply discussing hypnosis, Rusty Diamond guides Tahira Amir Sultan Khan through an extended live hypnosis and exploratory memory recall session.

The experience begins with relaxation and an underwater visualization before moving somewhere neither of them expected.

Tahira begins describing spontaneous imagery involving the Titanic, the Hindenburg, interplanetary conflict, an enormous golden realm, towering beings of light, ancient glowing books, spirals, flowing pathways and a state where individual identity seems to give way to something larger.

She also describes encountering imagery connected to her late father and recognizes elements of the experience from states she says she previously encountered during meditation and following a profound experience in 2013.

Throughout the session, Tahira reports not only what she sees but what she physically experiences as her breathing, chest, heart and legs respond to the experience.

Afterward, Rusty and Tahira unpack what happened.

What does memory actually look like when we stop forcing ourselves to remember?

Why can hypnosis produce imagery completely different from what someone expected?

Where does symbolism end and memory begin?

And what happens when the conscious mind gets out of the damn way for a while?

This episode isn't presented as proof that hypnotic imagery represents literal historical events, past lives, supernatural phenomena or objectively accurate memories. It is an exploratory hypnotic experience, and anything experienced during it can be considered afterward using ordinary waking judgment, curiosity and context.

Safety note: Do not follow along with the hypnosis portion while driving, operating machinery or doing anything requiring your full attention.

The Public Access Podcast 673 - Forget the Career Ladder, Morgan Ziva Became a Mermaid

The Public Access Podcast 673 with Morgan Ziva

On Episode 673 of The Public Access Podcast, Rusty Diamond sits down with Morgan Ziva for a conversation that somehow travels from Ohio to Italy, from hair transplants to underwater performance, and eventually lands exactly where every respectable podcast should:

Professional mermaids.

Morgan is an actress, performer, traveler, and professional mermaid whose life has never exactly followed the standard résumé template.

She talks with Rusty about growing up in Ohio, her love of traveling, exploring Italy, nerding out over history, and why even someone who loves seeing the world eventually reaches the point where they're ready to get the hell home.

Then things get weird.

Asked about the strangest job she's ever had, Morgan points out that most people would probably expect her to say professional mermaid.

Nope.

She was a hair transplant technician.

Morgan breaks down the surprisingly intricate process of preparing individual hair follicles for transplantation—and suddenly swimming around underwater with a giant tail seems like the normal career choice.

The conversation also gets into Morgan's longtime connection to medical work, sensitivity to music and environment, childhood babysitting, unconventional careers, performance, creativity, and what happens when you build a life around following curiosity instead of forcing yourself into one neat little box.

Morgan's work as an underwater performer combines acting, breath control, movement, physical awareness, and storytelling without relying on dialogue. Her broader performance background includes acting, modeling, scripted work, and improvisation.

It's performance where your body has to tell the story.

And occasionally your legs have been replaced by a giant fucking mermaid tail.

This episode is about travel, strange jobs, creativity, performance, reinvention, and the wonderfully crooked path a human life can take when you stop demanding that every chapter make sense to the previous one.

Sometimes the weird job isn't being a mermaid.

Sometimes the mermaid is the part that makes perfect sense.

The Public Access Podcast 672 - Shannon Avery Briggs Shunned But Not Silenced

The Public Access Podcast 672 with Shannon Avery Briggs

On Episode 672 of The Public Access Podcast, Rusty Diamond sits down with Shannon Avery Briggs for a powerful conversation about leaving a high control religious organization and figuring out who you are when the world you knew starts falling apart.

Shannon shares what it was like to begin questioning teachings she had trusted for years, researching information she had been conditioned to fear, confronting shunning and disfellowshipping, and discovering just how much a person's family, friendships, work, community and identity can become intertwined with a religious organization.

The conversation moves through isolation, domestic violence, institutional control, fear, identity and the psychological earthquake that can happen when long held beliefs suddenly collapse.

Shannon compares the experience to The Truman Show. Once you recognize that the world around you isn't what you thought it was, you can't simply unsee it.

Then comes the bigger question.

What do you build in its place?

Shannon Avery Briggs, MBA, is a Certified Transformational Resilience Coach, Certified HeartMath Mentor, author of Triumph Over Darkness: My Journey, and cofounder of Luminous Connections LLC and The Exit Generation™.

Alongside her husband, John D. Briggs Jr., Shannon created EXIT PATHS™, a framework designed to help people move from identity loss toward a self led life. Together they also cohost Deservingly You.

This isn't just a story about getting out.

It's about figuring out who gets to write the next chapter once you're free.

The Public Access Podcast 671 - WTF Moments and Spiritual Awakening with Sarah Williams

The Public Access Podcast 671 - WTF Moments and Spiritual Awakening with Sarah Williams

Rusty Diamond welcomes author and spiritual teacher Sarah Williams for a wild conversation about spiritual awakening, manifestation, intuition, synchronicities, survival, moving from the UK to Cyprus, and learning to laugh at the moments life simply refuses to explain.

Sarah is the author of The Auburn Guide: A True Story of Spirit, Survival and Awakening, which took more than ten years to write.

From dreaming about a giraffe before discovering a property with an actual six foot giraffe, to recognizing the landscape she'd envisioned when she eventually found land in Cyprus, Sarah's life has been packed with experiences that made her question what was coincidence and what might be something more.

The conversation also gets into the very human side of spirituality: frustration, major life changes, property disasters, letting go of negativity, humor, resilience, and finally deciding that nobody else gets to spoil the life you've built.
