That's what The Presence Driven Life podcast is all about—learning to live from the beauty, peace, and joy of His presence. That preaches good, but how do we authentically live it out? Join host Cindy Powell and others as we have real conversations, about real issues affecting real people, who are pressing in for more of a very real God. We plan to post a new episode every Monday, often with special guests who add richness and depth to the conversation. We will explore a variety of topics—from the sweet and simple, to the deep and complex—all with the goal of removing obstacles that hinder us from living in the abiding reality of unbroken communion with Jesus. While we won't shy away from tough or even controversial topics, our goal will always be to keep His presence at the center.     "Oh Lord, I want to see!"

    That was the response of blind Bartimaeus after Jesus stopped and directly asked Bartimaeus what he wanted Jesus to do for him. But what do you want Him to do for you? Are you asking Him for what you really want, or has waiting and disappointment caused you to dial your prayers down to something that seems a bit more reasonable and realistic?

    These are some of the questions we're asking in this week's episode. It's true that Jesus said "Blessed are those who believe and yet have not seen," but sometimes we DO need to see. We need to see not in order to believe, but because we HAVE believed. So grab a cup of coffee, listen in, and open your own heart to what He might be asking you today.

    Catching Up, Dialing In, and Letting Go

    Well, well, well—it has been a very long moment since we have posted a new episode. If anyone is still out there, welcome back! This episode was recorded a while ago and has been sitting gathering dust for over a month, but here we are … finally.

    Life has been more than a little full and it has been hard to find a rhythm, but feeling a little nudge to be a bit more intentional. That is always the dance—positioning ourselves intentionally before Him and responding as best as we can where we are—while still holding loosely and not allowing anything to become a weight He isn't asking us to carry.

    Not only is that always the tension in this walk of faith, it is also a bit of what this episode is about: Dialing in AND letting go. Being led always by His presence and not our own list of "shoulds" but also moving when, where, and how He leads us. Really it is “…laying aside every weight and the sin that so easily snares us, as we run with endurance the weight set before us.” —(paraphrase of Heb 12:1).
