This summer, we’re embracing Jesus’ invitation to slow down—to live at the unforced rhythms of grace, become more attentive to the Holy Spirit, rest, worship, play, and connect.
In a world that constantly pushes us to do more and move faster, Jesus offers a better way. Slow Down This Summer is an invitation to create space for what matters most and rediscover the joy of being with God and one another.
The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”
Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons."
