This Podcast teaches you the power of writing with a pen and paper.

If Richard Branson can do it, considering how much he's accomplished in his life so can you.

My mentor Scott Scheper teaches that writing is thinking and we shouldn't outsource our thinking to AI.

This is the main reason I am hand writing my book through physically writing my book in notepads with a pen and paper.

Now everywhere I go my bag and book goes with me. This hasn't yet been transcribed into a computer, so this is my heart on paper and you don't get that when you write a book with outsourcing your thinking to AI.

I did that by doing a podcast or writing a book with AI. I did that and made it six episodes.

I want to encourage you to do things different, just because there's a new tool don't let it change you. This is me, I don't need to overcomplicate.

Say hi to my blinker and get out of your own way and document the journey.

Richard Branson believes so much in the value of the written word that he once risked his life running into a burning building to save his journals.

I believe storytelling is an art and writing is as well. You are not just documenting your life, you are capturing your thoughts on your journey through life and it's beautiful.

Lean into writing because the more you do it the more satisfaction you get from it. Personally I write until my hand starts to hurt and that's when I know the work is getting good because nothing worth doing came easy. We should want to work hard for great results.

I'm a writer and I wrote yesterday on my whiteboard "I don't eat until I write because I am a writer and if I don't write I can't eat."

This book is my opus and I am a writer, I want future generations to see what I went through I want to keep this pen and paper.

As you do your writing, write don't edit let the words flow.

You'll notice once your hand starts to cramp, that's when the writing gets good. The pain in your hand is how you know the writing is about to get good so keep going.

My daily goal is to every day write down on the top of my paper each day I write the date and time.

Stephen King writes six pages a day in his 70s, six pages take me an hour and I'm a novice.

So shift things in your mind, Scott teaches a 3 day book system. Everyone thought a 4 minute mile was impossible until Roger Banister did it. This is what Scott teaches is possible through writing a book he shares the story of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde being a book written in 3 days.

I stopped writing because I was overwhelmed by the consistency of writing once I missed a few days it stopped.

Do something that seems really really hard and figure out if there's an easy way to do it. Because more than likely someone else has already figured it out.

Get out of your own way and keep on writing.
