  • Rachel's Story: Living With Suicide Loss
    2025/11/19

Navigating Grief, Love and New Beginnings

In this episode, I sit down with Rachel, a brave and gentle soul who has walked through more loss than most of us can imagine.

Rachel lost both of her parents to cancer. Then, when she was 5 months pregnant, she lost her husband to suicide. Overnight she became a widow and a single mum, trying to survive heartbreak while preparing to bring new life into the world.

    We talk about:

Living with grief when it comes in waves, not stages

The loneliness of widowhood and solo parenting after loss

Carrying love and pain at the same time

Building a colourful business from the darkest season of her life

Today, Rachel designs and sells modern, colourful grief cards and works as a grief coach. Her work is all about saying: “You’re not alone in this, and your grief is not too much.”

If you’re grieving a suicide loss or you’re a young widow

You do not have to go through this on your own. Here are some places that can offer support:

Samaritans (UK & Ireland) – 24/7 listening support. Call 116 123 for free or visit their website.

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS) – Peer support for adults who have lost someone to suicide.

WAY – Widowed and Young – A UK charity for anyone who lost a partner before age 51, offering peer-to-peer support from others who “get it.”

You can find Rachel on Instagram: @lovelossdiscoballs

  • Power To Her Trailer: The reason for this space
    2025/09/17

In this podcast series, Power to her creates a space for the everyday woman to feel seen, heard and empowered. This is a place for real stories...... the challenges, the setbacks and the strength it takes to rise again. Its about opening up honest conversations around life, career, relationships, motherhood and personal growth, while giving voice to the experiences so many of us carry quietly.

Why does this space exist? because too often women face adversity in silence. Here, we share the lessons, the tools and the breakthroughs that help us turn pain into power. Each episode is about building confidence, finding resilience and reminding you that you are not alone on your journey!

This podcast is more than conversation........its a place for women who refuse to be defined by their struggles and instead choose to grow stronger through them.

If this podcast helps even just one woman then I'm doing something right.

If you have a story you would like to share, as a guest or write in anonymously please do contact me on my socials @power.to.her.pod or email thepowertoherpod@gmail.com

Enjoy and see you at episode 1.

  • Sarah's Story - Choosing IVF as a single woman.
    2025/11/12

In this episode of Power to Her, I sit down with Sarah, a brave and inspiring woman who made the empowering decision to go through IVF as a single woman.

Sarah opens up about what led her to this choice, the emotional highs and lows along the way, and how she found strength in trusting her own path, even when it looked different from others.

We talk about the reality of doing it alone, how she navigated uncertainty, and the joy of creating the life she always wanted on her own terms.

This conversation is a beautiful reminder that family can look many different ways and that choosing yourself, your happiness, and your future is never something to apologise for. 💛

Now Sarah is helping other single woman going solo, you can find her on Instagram @solomumdiaries

If Sarah’s story touched you or you’ve been through something similar, I’d love to hear from you.
